JUST READ THE OPERATIONAL MANUALS FOR RENEWING YOUR PR CARD. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DAYS YOU SPEND OUTSIDE CANADA WITH THE EXCEPTIONS I MENTIONED WILL COUNT TOWARD YOUR RESIDENCY BUT NOT TOWARD YOUR PHYSICAL PRESENCE REQUIREMENT IN CANADA FOR CITIZENSHIP. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO RENEW YOUR PR CARD AT THE END OF FIVE YEARS BUT NOT QUALIFY FOR NATURALIZATION UNDER THE 4/6 RULE WITH THESE EXCEPTIONS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF DAYS SPENT IN CANADA FOR NATURALIZATION.

Requirement toward renewing PR card and requirement towards applying for Citizenship are two different things. You were first talking about days spent outside Canada with Canadian spouse (if working for any employer outside Canada) count towards citizenship, and now you are telling me that its requirement for PR card renewal/PR extension. :-X

I have sent the docs for the FSW2014 to CIC around 1 month back.

But i have not received any mail nor any acknowledgement from the authorities that my application has been received.

Can u please tell me what can i do in this case for getting a acknowledgement ??

All you can do is wait.

Then it is serious. You have not share this point before. How CIO will count the period of your work experience.

My suggestion, send the edited work experiences to CIO with cover letter. If possible, send the original.

Also e-mail at cio-sydney-search-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca about giving confirmation whether your letter has been attached to the original.

Did you provide recent pay slips?

has a date of commencement of work from 2008 to present. but the date of issue of the letter itself not.

Some people got rejection emails after changing In Process in Ecas. So In Process is not necessarily guarantee of PER.

Dear Guys,

Just a scenario evaluation. I m pretty sure that this might have been discussed before. If one person is applying for himself as the principal applicant+ his spouse only.
What if the wife gets pregnant after his application is received and processed?
and what if he becomes a dad by the time the visa is processed?? 8)

What can be done in this case?

Possibly you saved the wrong link. You have to click "Edit Response link" then you need to save that link and not the link after initial submission.

Open URL-->input data --> submit --> click "Edit Submit link --> save the link for future update

You can send additional document but got no guarantee it will be added. That will not be shifted.

people, i just saw that my ecas show "in process"! does that mean that i'm getting PER for sure one of these days?

Did you apply in two categories under one application?
Also, Admins, do we have rejected cases if applied in two categories in one application?

IN-Process before receiving PER means that they are working on your eligibility. Once your application receives initial positive eligibility review they issue your PER.

I have already received my PER, currently waiting to hear anything from my Local VO which is New Delhi.

Nowadays I am in United States for long term work assignment.
Based on the reply I got from you all about getting a PCC from Indian Consulate in US. I was curious to know whether anyone have any experience of getting PCC from Indian Consulate in United States, how much time does they usually take to issue a PCC.

Can anyone from my family get PCC in India on my behalf ?

Please share any experience.

At first glance this letter looks to match with 2171 in my opinion. Anybody else who applied for 2171 can say what if anything is obviously wrong with this?

But my application was returned saying doesnot match 2171.
I am so confused with it now.
