Hello, I'm planning to apply for Federal Skilled Worker program by the end of August. There are two questions I wanted to ask:

1. Do I have enough time to apply? Will it be too late to apply?
2. I could not find details about the format of the 'Proof of Work Experience'? I had contacted one of the Immigration Consultancy, they told me that
the 'Proof of Work Experience' should be in a specific format, failing which my application would be rejected.
Is it important to hire a Immigration Consultant for filing our applications?

1. It depends upon your intended NOC. Check 'Determine your NOC Category' from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg72b

2. There is no format, but specific guidelines on what an experience letter must constitute. Check point number 12 on http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.pdf

There is no guidance on this. I preferred affidavit from parents as they witnessed the event.

If you have already sent it, don't worry. Both will be accepted.

Yeah i got mixed opinions on board about self and from parents. Parents not being in my city, i opted for self one. But i am unsure about its acceptance

Dear Gurus,
I am new to this Forum, i need some feedback and advise.
Firstly Am a IT Consultant and planning to apply in FSW prog:2171 As SAP Systems Security Analyst
Secondly i am married and me and my wife done with IELTS and I am waiting for WES Credential report.
I am processing my documents through a consultant and I am Indian but working in Saudi Arabia from past 7 Years. Application will be filed from Saudi Arabia itself.
I might get WES report until 20th August 2014
My question if i apply until 25th August is there any chance of Application to be selected or how long does this process takes. All of my documents are 100% Authentic.

Kindly advise....

First of all, Be +ve and focus on your AIM " Canadian PR" .. And send your file asap rather then thinking whether you will be in cap or not.

So don't think too much and Hit The Bull's-EYE

And one more thing if possible please try to get PCC, not mandatory but strongly recommended from CIC.

please help..
i dont have birth certificate,and my 10th certificate doesnt have my fathers name explicitly on it(it is mentioned as my middle name)
So i made a self affidavit stating these are my parents and notarized it by a lawyer(sworn in)..will this be accepted by cic??? or this has to be made by my parents??
please please reply..i am quite worried.

nishesh3003thanks for always anwering my queries. The attached document(my duties and resposibilites) were all certified and signed by my heads so with that im not worried. Just wanna ask if i will make a cover letter explaining why my duties were written in separate sheet and were just attached, do i need to write it in company letter head and signed by my heads or the cover letter is just an ordinary letter and will only be signed by me? Help me pls how do i make a cover letter?

The cover letter can be on a plain paper. No issues.

It is OK. Also check the following:

Before submitting your application, do the following last moment check: Most Frequent Errors​

• Ensure counting all the pages of form.
• Ensure writing your full name at the last page of generic form.
• Ensure selecting correct visa office from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp
• Ensure writing names in native languages
• Ensure writing name, DoB, photo taken date at the back of photos
• Ensure including self-addressed labels
• Ensure while filling form IMM5406 by your spouse, s/he is applicant
• Ensure Assets = Your property + settlement fund
• Ensure Settlement fund is owned 100% by you or your spouse or jointly by both
• Ensure providing original ECA, IELTS, and PCC
• Ensure providing photocopy of degree/master certificate
• Ensure birth certificate contains applicant's name, parent's name, and DoB
• Ensure using DD;
• If using CC, ensure diligently fill all the field of Section B of payment form: amount, card holders name, signatures, card numbers, CVV, expiry date, and type of card.
• If using CC, keep it inside a vault.
• One application, only one intended NOC;

• Ensure getting 67 marks.

-I thought shall only mention immovable property in assets.
-Why the CC in vault ? I am planning to use it in routine like earlier. Is it because if lost, I won't get the same number ?

download the latest forms from website and then fill and sign because date changes and old form are not valid
only send copy of first page of your passport having your details, send copy of visa only if you are residing in another country e.g work visa/resident visa

Please check your NOC from this list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp. These are official updates from CIC, but backdated, so current numbers will be much higher.

Also check this forum's spreadsheet, that shows relatively better picture of number of applications sent so far in each NOC.

Actual number will be higher than both. So, it all depends upon your particular NOC.

If your initial application is without police clearance certificate do we have support it with letter or not.

I haven't done that, can please anyone suggest what to do if required to submit pcc

You can sumit PCC at a later date ... It is not mandatory to send PCC and no letter is needed to support that ...

No. Jut the bio page and amendments page if anything is written on it.
