Only translated documents need to e notarized.it has been already cleared by senior members of this forum and they have reported their cc charge/ dd encashed but if you wana to attested all the documents it is upto you...
Translation of documents
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

•the English or French translation; and
•an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
•a certified copy of the original document

Then how to submit the photocopy of the experience letter, marriage certificates (which are not original)... u mean jus a xerox copy will b fine...
enlight me the term "certified copy of the original document"

Hi Oscar, you are absolutely right in stating that the NOC should be matched, but considering that he already has this letter, his job role is that of a software engineer.

UML Diagarams, Testing, Documentation, Managing Co-ordinating teams is all coming under that ... It is just that it is in very technical terms rather than layman terms for the CIC Officers ...

And use of such highly technical terms can be hurtful, If the CIC clerical people don't understand it, they will discard it which means the end of his application. It is better to tailor your reference letter to match or at least, be similar to what is found on the NOC list than to get a 'too-technical' letter. Just my take,

I went to ICICI bank and HDFC bank

I have the account in ICICI they said , they cannot do DD for forex in their branch, and validity of DD is only 3 months

HDFC bank told they cannot issue DD if I dont have HDFC bank account.

I have ICICI prepaid CC , but I dont have name on my prepaid CC, they said they will do internally

I told ICICI that I want CC with my name printed on it, they said it will take 10 days

my wife has SBI CC but it sometimes make problem during payments.

moreover ICICI CC has grid security

people in the forum say DD is reliable

Which documents need to be notarized? do we need to notarize all the documents for which we are giving photocopies or just in case we are translating a document like birth certificate?

Hi Aman,

Notarization of documents is not necessary for copies of documents already in English or French. Where such documents are not in English or French, please see the instruction from the guide below:

Certified true copies

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
-the name of the original document,
-the date of the certification,
-his or her name,
-his or her official position or title, and
-his or her signature.

I will be applying this week for 1113 category, the problem is I have got reference letters of 5 years experience and my total experience is 8 years. The company wherein I worked for 3 years is not providing me the reference letter, although I am having the Letter of Appointment and relieving with me.

Will this letters help in me getting 15 point for more than 6 years of experience??????

you will be awarded points for the years where you could show your jobs and responsibility for opted NOC. Talk to your supervisor, friend in that company and get reference letter. Prepare an affidavit and explain the reason, if you can support it with some communication reference, will be better. But you must get reference letter for sixth year to claim maximum point.s

You are right .. and that is also what Oscar also meant to match the language to the official NOC description ...

I possible engrmsalem should try and redo the letter to be more generic !!!

what do you mean by visa debit? if you mean credit card type both visa and mastercard are available in fee options.

My file was reached on May 8th and my payment method is visa debit. Since I saw most of applicants have got cc charged, I think CIO doesn't accept visa debit. Any one here have same experience , please help me clarify what I can do to make it right? Appreciate for help.

Show some diligence bro. Try other options like Thomas cook, SBI bank etc for draft... There would be 10+ banks with in 10 KM around you for sure.

If he puts a self signed responsibilities or an ex-colleague/manager signed document + include evidence that he has tried but not been provided the official letter then why would it not count ?

Hi ICICI generally have many branches in a city, but only one or two deal with forex.
Find out the forex branch in your city, go to that branch and get the DD done.
Though I don't see anything going wrong here, but if you still can't do it go to SBI forex branch, they will provide you DD.
And all international DDs are valid for six months, check for validity date on it. If nothing written, it is surely for 6 months. Finally you can approach Thomas Cook, they also provide 6 months DD.

I have a query. I am 15th May application . My dd will expire in 3 months . Would you think I will make it before expire? And what possible steps I can take for not get into trouble !
