Yess... all the photocopies needs to notarized like marriage, birth certificates.. but not sure whether translated documents require notary signature.... seniors to advice

Totally misleading info.... Only translated docs have to be notarized. Notarized signature necessary on copy of doc that is translated, along with translation + affidavit from translator.

Translation of documents
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

•the English or French translation; and
•an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
•a certified copy of the original document.

Dear All,

This is already my employer reference letter...please advise

Wow, lucky you... I'm already pulling my hair trying to explain to HR how detailed I need the letter of reference to be, but she still end up giving me just 3 stupid bullets of something so generic, its not even worth reading. ... Now, I'm trying to contact my ex manager and he also isn't responding!!!! STRESS!!!

thanks a lot :). i was really confused about this. a few friends of mine were insisting to notarize even the things like Payslips which are basically electronically generated copies and don't even require signatures.

Many thanks Ashif for your help! Would CIC accept this new DD since I have read in earlier posts in this forum that CIC receives so many applications every day that they don't accept follow-on documents.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your reply.

Can any other document be submitted instead of Marriage certificate.?

Can i take a chance by submitting Sikh Temple certificate followed by a affidavit and also my husband name is embossed on certificate.

Regards
Hi Picku,
Talk to your elders, they must be having some contact in Tehsil / Sub Division. If you know some one there, you can get your marriage certificate within 2-3 days. Keep following items handy.
Marriage invitation cards from both sides.
4 photographs of marriage preferably one for each ceremony.
Joint photographs 2" * 3" of bride and groom.-- 6 no.
Two witnesses i.e. your parents and grooms parents. and their two passport size photographs each.

Get it done quickly, for Canadian immigration nothing else will work.
Best of Luck.

Although tknova might be correct but when I read NOC guide for 2173, and read your content, I don't see yours as a good match. Just my take!

Instead of getting reference letter merely as a list of one's roles, one should spend some time to draft this letter similar to what the NOC guide states and then take it to HR / supervisor for their consent. I believe many folks fail doing this prior to taking it for signature.

Hi Oscar, you are absolutely right in stating that the NOC should be matched, but considering that he already has this letter, his job role is that of a software engineer.

UML Diagarams, Testing, Documentation, Managing Co-ordinating teams is all coming under that ... It is just that it is in very technical terms rather than layman terms for the CIC Officers ...

Based on self experience below will work if you are registering your marriage within one year of marriage date. If not it will take additional time(Approx 15-20 days or more) as the approval should come from home ministry of your state. ofcourse , things can be faster if you know somebody or ready to throw in some money ;-)

Write a self signed affidavit as such. Include communication regarding such rejection from that company. Include appointment and relive letter.

What is important is that the most recent experience is included in detail !!

What is important that the most recent experience counting towards your NOC is included in detail !!
