Hi Century, my friend wants to apply... before her job description is Electronics Engineering and now she is a Computer Programmer. Can she apply 2133 as her intended occupation since this has fewer applicants but can she use her experience on computer programmer to maximize her work experience score?
If your friend has at least continous one year of experience in the last 10 years and his roles match with NOC's roles description, yes, he should select NOC 2133.

Also note that, his experience in Computer Programming will also fetch him points. :D :D

Thanks +1 for you. I thought your note in the last part there in the list means that in one application, it should absolutely contain one type of NOC Code in the experience in Schedule 3...

If I applied in 2013 under FSW and requirements for Proof of Funds was as for my case 23 456 CAD, does it mean that if now VO will ask me to provide a new Proof of Funds I'll have to show higher amount? Because in 2014 required amount is 24 900 CAD. So now should I have respectively more cash on my account????
Thanks.

k... i got ur point now further to this issue I would like to ask point no 6 says credit card and bank statements. Now is the word 'and' used to define the ending of options or is it tat if one opts for credit card statement one has to ptovide for bank statements too. For I have arranged for only the recent credit card statements(2 nos. of 2 different credit card providers) This part is very crucial now for me but sure I would like the honest reply to that. I can manage at later stage when I would get AOR but right now 2 credit card statements are all I have regarding proof of residency part of relative. Any word of advise or something...

You missed the word intended. Sch3 Q12(a): ONE NOC ONLY Generic Form, Educational Section Q4:ONE NOC ONLY.

Thanks for +1. :) :)

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to listen to this. You make my day.

Thank you very much Century !!

I have waited so looong for this !! It was a hard couple of weeks -- checking ECAS so often they actually told me to stop because I tried too many times :)

I had almost lost hope and just opened ECAS without any expectations !!

Lesson Learnt: Do not loose hope until the application is back in your hands !!!

Hi Century, Here is the break-up of CIC's numbers for 2014 (basically CIC's operational targets for the year) to explain how Philippines may be traditionally low in FSW though they make up overall a high number in total immigration to Canada.
Economic: http://www.cic.gc.ca/enGlIsH/department/ips/economic.asp
Non-economic: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/non-economic.asp
Total: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/total.asp

India and Philippines Comparison: In the economic category, FSW is higher for India whereas PNP and LIC are higher for Philippines. For overall economic, Philippines is higher. However in the non-economic category India is higher primarily driven by all kinds of family dependent initiatives (including for spouse and children). In totality, India is higher if we sum the above two categories (approx. P = 22,000 versus I = 26,200). So finally I was able to lay my hands at the data!! :)

Obviously this is not actual data for the past, but CIC's target for 2014. It helps though!!
yes, very good dig in. Now it make sense. New Delhi is 4 times higher in FSWP; but Manila surpass New Delhi in PNP and Caregivers.

In the Document Checklist, CIO asked for credit card statement AND bank statement. My understanding is they expect reflection of some purchase transaction in Canada in the credit card statement and payment of those purchase through bank statement.

Only one CC and bank statement is good enough.

I have a question

My application is complete except spouse birth certificate.

I just need to know how important is this document.. I don't want them to come back to me after two months saying provide this document and by the time the cap is reached. I am applying in NOC 1112.

The spouse birth certificate will take two to three days so potentially I can apply on Thursday 10th July.

What is your suggestion?

Spouses birth certificate is very important. If you check a list shared by century some time back today, shows that applications were rejected as spouses BC was not provided.

Without wife's BC, the package will become boomerang, will fly from your home to Nova Scotia and without hitting the target will return back to you.

If your wife got 10th class marksheet containing her full name, her DoB, and her's father name there, you can use it. Alternatively, you can do affidavit.

And don't wait.

Hi Century,

My friend has sent his application yesterday. He is paying by credit card. He has send two fee application form using two different cards. He has used each card for complete fee. His logic is that if one card does not work, CIO will try another.
Does it going to backfire and see through.
