With the MR, they ask for updated information chart. Update new number and send the passport copy. I did the same for my spouse passport. Would suggest to renew the passport.

The validity of the visa will be one year of your medical so you can make your mind that landing would be one year from now (max) as you are going to medical day after tomorrow. I believe you should not refuse for any new assignment as there are two kind of people, one who resign and settled in...

I have noticed that there are lot of cases of people who have done Medicals in July and August and waiting for PPR. I am also waiting for PPR with medical done on 27th July. I suggest you pay the fees and go to Canada next year (Kishtiyaan jala ke janne ka koi faida nahi canada main)

I believe that these security checks are done before medicals so I dont think delaying in PPR is due to travel history.

Raise CSE I have seen one case where the CIC called up and enquire whether he will be able to travel within 3 months as it was 9 months since he has done medical. He said yes and after some days he got the passport call.
