Hello everyone,

My application (NOC 2172) was received on the 5th of November, 2014. When should I check with my bank about whether my DD has been cashed or not?

You should check with your bank immediately. I am a 2172 5th Nov applicant and CC charged on 8-Jan. So your DD would most likely be charged by now!

Gyd Medicals in hyderabad. They upload our details within 24 hours. My medical was done on Friday and saturday they confirmed the upload

is it True that NDVO don't charge you RPRF FEE DD unless and until EVERY MEMBER in your family has cleared the MR. My wife was asked for re X-ray and even 3rd line is updated and asking with the bank the draft for RPRF was also cased. So shall it be safe to assume we are are clear with medical.

Happy to share the good news that finally, finally, finally, I have received the much elusive

PER !!!!!

Thanks to all the forum members for the confidence bestowed upon me. Your support really helped me go through the difficult times. Will not name anyone as the list is endless and do not want to miss anyone. ;D ;D

My timelines :
NOC : 1114
Application receipt date at CIC as per courier : 2nd Sept
Application receipt date at CIC as per CIC : 20th Oct
DD encashment date as per CIC : 23rd Dec
DD encashment date as per bank : 29th Dec
ECAS update went live : 16th Jan
PER date : 20th Jan

Don't really think I had missed out on any docs in the initial application, though i must admit that :
1. My Birth Certificate wasn't submitted as I didn't have one at the time of application submission. Had submitted an affidavit and a 10th passing certificate in which DOB was mentioned.
2. Didn't submit legal marriage certificate as I did not have one at the time of application submission. In lieu of this, I had submitted marriage certificate issued by religious priest and passport copies where spouse name was updated. Also Childs BC was provided where parents name was updated.

Have got both these certificate issued from respective government offices now, to be on the safer side. Don't recall any other discrepancy.

LET'S NOT EXPECT PPR WITH IN JANUARY. IF IT IS RECEIVED TO YOU, YOU MAY THINK THAT IT WAS DECIDED ON DECEMBER.
NDVO IS NOT GOING MAKING ANY PPR DECISIONS IN JANUARY.

My questions may be silly, but expecting some help


Can any one please share me the address to which i need to send receipt of RPRF fee (which I am planning to pay through Credit Card), PCC ?

My 3rd line got updated, Do I need to send MR proof ?

Also, please share me the sample cover letter to NDVO for sending my updated passports (As my old one got slightly damaged) ?

If I want to pay DD, then DD to be taken in favour of ??

COPR is sent along with the Passport.

If the applicant has chosen VFS as mode of Passport Transmission and selected courier services as dispatch method. Then they will receive Visa Stamped Passports and COPR will be sent through courier.

If the applicant has chosen VFS as mode of Passport Transmission and wishes to collect Passport himself from VFS Center. They will receive a notification that their Passport is ready for collection. They can visit the VFS Center and collect the Passports along with CoPR.

• To collect passports for dependents. The person who is collecting the Passport from VFS Center should submit an authorization letter from the dependents authorizing them to collect the PP on their Behalf

If the applicant has sent the Passports through Normal Courier services. They will returned to applicants after Visa Stamping along with CoPR through Speed Post

Hi All...
Best Wishes to everyone awaiting PER/PCC/MR and eventually Visas.

Quick question I had, Ideally the second line on ECAS should get updated when the applicant gets Additional documents request or PCC request or MR. Well, in my case, I got PCC request, no second line, got MR request and additional docs req, no second line. What could be the reason? Any ideas...Thanks

This has happened earlier also. There is nothing to worry. Just complete the requested tasks and chill.... second line will be inserted after you get 3rd line.
