I think this will delay the Process at the respective Visa office only, But Since our application are at CIC at the moment they are also delaying the processing due to some reasons.

I called CIC and they mentioned the amount matters and not the program as the Online receipt is not associated with any immigration program.
But as you guys mentioned it may be a hassle if my application reaches after the 300 CAP which is most likely to happen.

I would also like to say my situation is unique as I would be eligible for Canadian Experience Class by December and I would not go through the refund procedure and use the same fee receipt if my application doesnt make within the cap.

Online Fee payment is the easiest and the most efficient way as no bank issues or security issues and no way CIC can deny because of payment issues.

If CIC doesnt want online payment for FSWP then why they have mentioned it as preferred form of payment in Information guide for FSWP ? There is a very good refund process and easy also. I suggest people to use this as this would eliminate all the hassles.

I received my PER last week for FSWP but i am also going to Canada this fall to start my MBA, which evenually, would lead me to get PR in CEC program.... like your case.

Hi guys, hope you can help me. I have a pending application under FSW and got PER already. I am presently here in Canada as a student but I got a job offer from a Canadian employer. I would like to ask if I really need a Labor Market Opinion to apply for a work permit or I can apply for open work permit without an LMO because I already have a PER under FSW? Hope you can help me.

Of course this is just my personal opinion and we never know what will really happen. I think you will be just fine. Your NOC is not a hot NOC and there is only one application that was charged so far based from the last CIO update. You are probably looking at 2-4 for months wait time.

Tom, do you know that the fee is double for international students that for PR holders and citizens. You would have to pay half the fee if you have PR. And with a PR you have no work restriction. But with a student Visa there are limitations on hours/week you can work. Financially you cannot stabilize yourself with a Student Visa. CEC needs 2 year full time equivalent work experience, and this means it has to be acquired after you complete your education. Any parttime work done during the education will be quantified as 39 total hours worked = 1 week. Which means if you work for 20hrs per week, it would take 2 years for you to accumulate 1 year equivalent full time work experience.

CEC works if you have the Money for tuition and to support yourself. Your spouse gets open work permit during your course tenure. I guess CES does not apply for any profession(I don't have much visibility there)

No one knows on what timeline basis CIC updates it's cap status. But my solicitor cleared me that by the time CIC updates its cap status, there will be at least 20% applications which are already accepted. What I meant to say is if CIC puts 100 app in its cap status, lets consider it as 120 applications.

I hope the issue get resolved ASAP and they come to some mutual understanding. Stick will also delay the Sept intake students visas. : .
