Hello! Kababayans,

Just want to share my timeline and experience

Applied to CIO-NS - Feb. 27, 2009
Received: March 03, 2009
AOR Date: March 17, 2009
Received by Lawyer: March 27, 2009

NOC: 0111 (Accountant)
Points: 7

They sent my full package to Buffalo on June 5 as per CIO-NS instruction. They received it on June 14 and at the same time returned the whole package back to my lawyer. I don't have 1 year of continuous legal stay here in USA and that's the reason on why they returned it. What my lawyer did is emailed CIO-NS and Buffalo, requesting them to transfer my file to Manila since my application is not qualified to be process here in USA. They courier the package to Manila on June 26 and right now I am waiting for my second AOR.

My e-cas status still shows CIO-NS Office Eligibility review complete.

Can someone share on how many days after the submission of full package to Manila that did you received AOR. I've seen Jtob and Maybel already received their medical request which we all know is a positive sign that case is close to approval. Goodluck to all.

Hi Alpha Romeo,

I was about to post here and saw your question. I am also an Accountant, NOC 1111. My timeline below will answer your question on how many days before receiving 2nd AOR. I'm not sure if this is the standard. These are 2009 dates. I hope this helps. Good luck to you too!

Received by CIO NS - April 7
AOR received - May 13 (letter dated April 28)

full application submitted - June 30
received by Manila office - July 1
eCAS updated - July 14 ('received by visa office')
2nd AOR received - July 15 A.M.

Postman just delivered the 2nd AOR this morning. It took 14 days from the time Manila office received my full application to the time I received the AOR. It is dated July 9 and was in the post office on July 10.

The letter is 2 pages and with 6 stickers enclosed. The same sticker is pasted on the AOR and contains my new file number starting with B.

The letter says that before my application can be placed into processing, a determination will be made as to whether or not I am elilgible for processing.

Seniors, will I receive another letter from the post office or it's only the eCAS that will be updated to show that my application is eligible for processing? What are the 6 stickers for?

Hello kabayans,

Sali naman ako sa forum na ito. I'm in KSA and my local visa office is London. My e cas status is changed just today from "elligibility review completed" to "received by visa office and is now pending for review". It seems that CIC is really serious with their quest to fast track applications under the new rules. God Bless You all guys!

aspire...im also from KSA..may i know your timeline? im still gathering my documents for submission next month to London. Where did you have your PCC translated? Does the translation needs to be stamped by Chamber of Commerce. Appreciate your response.

Regards,

IDN

Mam2Karl,

Thanks for sharing. Goodluck.

Hi!
I am so happy that I was able to search this forum. At least I can ask anything about Immigrant Visa Application process, and I am hoping that you could help me with my problem. Magpoprocess pa lang kasi ako ng papers ko and I am confused about some things.

1. I have taken IELTS (Academic) last December 2008, and I got a band score of 7.0, but I got 6.5 in reading and writing. DO I need to take IELTS again? I've read some comments that if I want to apply for immigrant visa, I should take General and not Academic. But I already have my Academic IELTS, should I retake the test?

2. I currently don't have a regular savings bank account (passbook), but I have my EON Unionbank which is online banking. Do I have to open a regular bank account? My father said that he can add my name under his bank account (like a joint account), is it acceptable? Should the bank account be 6 months old before it can be accepted?

Hope you could help me.. Thank you!

aisle, I also took and submitted Academic IELTS. It seems that CIC accepted it because i already have my medical request. I decided not to retake IELTS because sayang din P8,000+ din yun.

ThAnk You, maybell! Well, I do hope they will accept my IELTS results, I got a total band score of 7.0 (listening 7.5, reading 6.5, writing 6.5, speaking 7.0). Thanks a lot!

Hello. I am currently an OFW working here in Africa in Angola to be exact. My cousin who lives in Canada tells me to research about independent immgration to Canada. He said that it would be easier to get an immigrant visa if you are already out of the country. I would like to ask from you if what is the first step of how to go and live in Canada.

Hello IDN,

I'm from Riyadh. I had my PCC translated at Al Salim certified translation office at Thakasusi road. Actually kahit saan basta licensed translation office pwede. Pwede rin sa Phil Embassy pero mas expensive doon. I did not have it stamped by the Chamber of Commerce. Sorry again for this late reply.

Dear Friends,

Salaam. I have a question about the work experience letter.
I used the 4121 NOC code (University Professor). I'm asking the university about work experience letter. They gave me a letter which does not contain all details that CIC mentioned, e.g. main responsibilties & duties and the total annual salary plus benefits.
And one more problem. I should accompany the work letter with business card od the person who signed the letter, but there is not any kind of business card among the heads of university. So what should I do?

What's your suggestion to overcome this problem.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Your cooperation is highly apriciated well in advance.
Regards,
E.B.
