Hey February people. I have a more technical question. When we filled the application our intention was to stay in New Brunswick after I get my PR Card. Due to some changes and some decesions we now will settle in Ottawa (Ontario side). DO I have to notify IRCC about that? Does it even make a difference for them?
Let me know if you have any intel on that. Thanks
If it's a spousal sponsorship I don't think it matters where u live, if it's a Provincial nomination then I think ur bound to live in that particular province!

I have a question regarding the time frame of PR status for a spouse.

My husband's (US citizen) application was submitted Feb 23 and we received Sponsorship approval on March 8 and AOR 1 March 10. Schedule A and PCC were submitted and our application was transferred to the visa office in Ottawa on Apr 19. A medical was requested on May 24 and we got and e-medical done on May 25. After the medical exam has been done, how long does it take to get the PR status? Does anyone have a general idea? Furthermore, unless specifically asked for additional information or an interview, is the medical exam the last task in this immigration process?

I would really appreciate any insight on this. Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi everyone.. I just saw an update in my GCKey account stating "We need additional documents to process your application. Check your messages below for details." But there isn't any message. I applied in late Feb 2017 and already uploaded the PCC and SA sometime in march and this is the first update since then. I am wondering if this is a glitch (as occurred in past) or they really need some document?

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi, I have a similar timeline.
No, medicals aren't the last step to my knowledge.
I believe they still have to do eligibility, BGC, and criminal check.
Which is usually what Ottawa does when you're transferred there.

It's been 2 months since my application was transferred to my local visa office, but my Ecas still only says "application received" and "medical result received." Anyone in the same boat?

Did you get the additional line in ecas saying they started processing on xxxx date? What VO?

Hong Kong VO. I'm currently visiting my husband in Canada. There's no additional line in Ecas saying they stared processing xxxx. My CIC account says I passed the medical and the next step is background check (it's been the same message like that for a long time). :(

Thanks!

My Application has been transferred to New Delhi Visa Office and i got this email today to send my PCC
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the following as soon as possible:

· Proof of payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid. Note: dependent children are not required to pay the Right of Permanent Resident Fee.

· Submission of police clearance certificates for you and all dependent family members who are 18 years or older, for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted. Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.

PLEASE RETURN A COPY OF THIS LETTER WITH THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS.

BUT IT IS NOT CLEAR HOW TO SEND THEM PCC.. Is it via Mail or via IRCC webform at NDVO..
Can anyone explain. Thanks

Hi guys, the embassy of my country sent me an email for an interview and requesting to bring with me my original passport in addition of the below documents:

*Photos from civil marriage and marriage celebration
* Evidence of cohabitation
* Evidence of ongoing communication between PA and SPR

My question is do they keep my passport with them for final decision and visa stamping or they will keep the passport with me and then requesting it again another time ??
