Completely agree with you, it is worse not knowing at all. At least for myself i get to resend it with a response to their letter explaining why the application is incomplete so no matter what happens, when I send it again, no other issues. I hope you hear about your application soon. It sucks not knowing anything.

It sure does suck! I gotta have patience! We have been waiting almost 4 years to be together, I guess we can wait some more.

Good luck to you resending the second time around! :)

My whole application is 98 pages but it doesn't mean you can't go more or less. It is based on your case I guess. the forms themselves with separate sheets are 32 pages.

Hi,

I am preparing the forms for submission. IN (PA) forms IM5669E, i am not able to validate the form due to the error given on 2 areas.

Personal History and Home Address

I have made sure there are no Gaps it still gives me the same error. I am currently working, if i mention my work duration as "On Going" it doesnt validate (but if i add today's date it excepts). Same is the case for Residential address, i have only one address from 2001 and On Going... if i mention ongoing its not validating the form. My question is i cant mention current date on my "TO". Is anyone experienced this issue?

Appreciate your piece of thought for the same.

Are you using the most up-to-date version? They updated the form recently http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/eIMM5669E.pdf

I was having the same problem as you. I just filled out the form and was able to select ongoing for current address and validate it successfully.

Hi friends :),

New to Family Sponsorship. I am curious about the meaning of these abbreviations that are commonly used here:

- ECAS
- SA
- AOR1
- AOR2

Thanks in advance :)

ECAS: "ECAS stands for Electronic Client Application Status. This on-line service allows Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) clients to view securely the status of their immigration and/or citizenship application(s) on-line, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; anytime, anywhere.

SA: Sponsor Approval
AOR1: 1st Acknowledgement of Receipt you will receive (from CPC-M)
AOR2: 2nd Acknowledgement of Receipt you will receive (from your VO -- Visa Office)

Thanks for your helpful post.
I have 2 newbie questions here.
1. Why do some people's application get transferred to a different VO?
2. CIC website says, "As soon as your sponsor is found to be eligible, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt with your application number. The section below explains what you should be doing when you get this email or letter [...]." So will CIC send us SA (AOR2) after AOR1? Sorry I'm newbie here and can't post the link.
