ayomas said:Thanks interesting as they said they were processing applications received January 25th, when i called them on Monday. My application was received February 2, 2017.
I am applied Jan 23. It was by fluke I was able to link my account (using and old UCI#) of my hisbands. If not for that- I would be in the exact same position as you two. I have receievd absolutely no official word from them - no AOR nor SA. The only way for me to tell what stage my app is at, is via Ecas and CIc. So- don't be too discouraged. Perhaps we all have the same lazy officer who doesn't like sending off emails...janangela said:you are not alone. same exact date as yours but still in limbo.
They have it- both mine and my husbands Ecas accounts have stated so. It arrived Jan 23, they started processing my sponsorship app Feb 3rd, decision made on Feb 10, correspondence sent Feb 14... I just haven't receievd any official email - assume it has been sent in the mail, if I don't receiev a letter this week, I'll have to call them. Just saying- don't assume because you haven't heard anything that your app isn't progressing- like I said, I would have no clue what stage things are at if I wasn't so lucky to access Ecas and link his app via the CIC online accountjanangela said:have you called CIC to see if they can find your application?
So very frustrating. Hope you hear something positive soon!janangela said:Totally agree though in my case, can't access ECAS and myCIC. Also called CIC just last Tuesday and was told they can't find my application. At this point, I'm looking to ask them to look for my application by this coming week as it is about to be a month
From this conversation, I guess it sounds like I should call CIC on Tues as, now I am afraid that they might have lost my applicatio (I know it was received Jan 25 as it was signed for by David S.). Thanks for posting this.adt83 said:They have it- both mine and my husbands Ecas accounts have stated so. For the photos, max is 20 pcs as shown on the checklistheyven100 said:GREAT!
I'm currently still finishing on proof of relationship, may I ask , how many pages this was for you or anyone else who doesnt mind sharing
thank u
Mine was received on the 10th too, I noticed the 'text confirmation' service just as I had sealed the package so it was too lateFCS said:Does CIC send text message to everyone? Our application was delivered on Feb 10 but still haven't received text message from CIC. How long does it usually take to receive the text message? Thanks a lot.
Number of pages is quite subjective. It can vary radically dependent on the proof of relationship/country specific documentation.Cdnpr2017 said:How many pages are most people's applications?
I guess it being a pilot is the reason it wasn't mentioned in the checklist :prvc said:Not to everyone, but to all who did this:
"Subscribe to receive a text message when we get your family class sponsorship package.
You can now receive a text message when we get your family class sponsorship package.
The text message only confirms that your family class sponsorship package arrived at our mailroom. It does not confirm that your application is complete or that we have started to process it. We will send you a letter or an email with an application number when processing starts.
What you need to get started
To take part, you need:
1. a cell phone with Internet access.
Your phone number can be Canadian or international. Charges may apply depending on the plan you have with your service provider;
2. access to a printer.
You can only subscribe once per phone number. You will only receive texts. We will never ask you to provide information back to us by text.
How to subscribe
Subscribe in three simple steps:
1. Text “ENROLL” to 613-209-4020
You will receive a text response from a third-party service provider (Ulula) with a link to a PDF barcode form.
2. Print the barcode form
Click on the link texted to you to get the PDF barcode form. Print it and include it in your family class sponsorship package after the checklist.
3. Mail your completed family class sponsorship package
Make sure you include all supporting documents and the barcode form.
You will receive a text message confirmation when our mailroom gets your family class sponsorship package."

However, your sponsor should receive the AOR via email after two weeks or a month of filing, if fortunate. Some VOs don't send out AORs.
Great. Thanks.RPWallace said:Mine was received on the 10th too, I noticed the 'text confirmation' service just as I had sealed the package so it was too late
It's a shame it wasn't mentioned on the checklist.
Anyway I have my fingers crossed for some sort of communication this week. I'll let you know!
