Can someone please explain what does outland spousal application means?

I am on PGWP in canada and working with NOC B. I wanted to apply for my spouse work permit and she is in Pakistan outside canada. could any one please guide me how I could bring her in Canada ? Thanks

Outland spouse sponsorship - When you are living in Canada, and your spouse is outside canada. This might not apply to you, as you are on a work permit. You might have to ask another group, as I'm not too knowledgeable on others ways to bring your spouse.

You can become a sponsor if you are:

a Canadian citizen, a person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act or a permanent resident
at least 18 years old
living in Canada:
If you are a Canadian citizen living outside Canada, you must show that you plan to live in Canada when your sponsored relative becomes a permanent resident.
You can’t sponsor someone if you are a permanent resident living outside Canada
If you live in Quebec, you must also meet Quebec’s conditions to be a sponsor.
able to prove that you have enough income to provide basic needs for your spouse or partner’s dependent children. You must submit documents showing your financial resources for the past 12 months only if the spouse or partner you are sponsoring has a grandchild who is coming with them (see subsection 1(3) of the IRPR for more details).

I feel like pest for asking so many questions. :(

For someone who has already submitted, I'm not too clear on this question

IMM5533--checklist--#7

Provide, One(1) document from three (3) of the following sets of options:

-joint ownership etc

From the list of six, I can only provide 2. I'm not too clear on the part it says provide 1 document from 3 of the sets of options....As long as you provide one, its sufficient?

I interpret it as 3 of the 6. Some people interpret it otherwise. I would include the 2 you can, and provide explanations of why you don't have anything from the others. It's logical that people who aren't living together wouldn't have some of those things.

Yeah that's a bit confusing and I had to read a couple times to understand. Entire 6 questions considered to be one (1 question) and below that you would see 2 more questions. Total 3 questions and you can submit any 1 out of those 3. In my case I submitted 2 I believe. I hope it makes sense.

Sent off our application today. These forums always scare me as others discuss things that I have no recollection of considering when putting together the application! I followed the guidelines and the checklist and am hoping that is sufficient :) We live together, have a child and have been married for more than 2 years, so, thankfully, that meant we didn't have to provide all the extra evidence if that's not the case.

I'm the applicant, living in the UK with a Canadian wife. She isn't working as she's a stay at home mother, hopefully that doesn't go against us! Good luck all.

I understood this at including one document from three of the options listed. It's a challenge for me because I only had two of the three - we are outland so we didn't have joint ownership, transactions of funds, utility bills or a joint bank account. What I did was include the social media - easy and the beneficiary information. Because I didn't have any other of the points, I included info on when each of us had paid for something for the both of us, like when I booked flights for both of us together.

My application has been received and got the update from Canada post today. As you all know the waiting game begins from now on. I hope everything goes well and I am waiting for AOR now. I believe it will take approximately 15-20 days if I am not wrong.

Good luck guys! Lets keep updating and be in touch.

My application was sent yesterday by my agent. Expected to reach them by Monday or Tuesday. Lets see how much time do they take to process my application.

Can you actually do that? I have been told that you would only have 50-50 chance of getting approved if you do visiting visa. That was the reason I decided to go with Spousal Sponsorship! Are you going to apply for visiting visa right away or you would need PR File# to do that? I am just curious to know so that I can get a visiting visa for my spouse as well. Thanks!

APPLYING THIS WEEK ... ONE CONFUSION NOT SURE WHAT TO DO... HAVE POSTED THE QUESTION BY CREATING SEPARATE POST

Hey all,

My application is supposed to arrive to CIC tomorrow. I have few questions:

1. For form 5669. do I need to validate it even if I don't have the UCI and Application numbers? or do I need to wait till I get them so I can put them in the form then validate the form? Which comes first?

2. I saw few people who were able to link their accounts even before getting AOR 1, does worth the try to link the account once they get my application tomorrow? If so, how can I link my account?

My brother is marrying in May. So, when I applied for Visitor Visa I included marriage invitation card etc. But, you are write the chances of getting visitor visa is less than 20%. But that does not affect your other application.

Hello February applicants!

I don't know if you have a spreadsheet going yet, but I have created a web based application to handle tracking if you are interested.

It works similar to the spreadsheet but I have included some advanced functionality for filtering and will be adding more as time goes on.

You can view the web application here: http://immigration.dansheps.com

You can filter (before configuring any page specific filters) by going to: http://immigration.dansheps.com/index?sent=YYYY-MM-DD and substituting the YYYY-MM-DD with the date you want to filter from. This will pre-filter the data for you (you can modify it after).

If you are interested in using this tracking, please contact me VIA PM with at minimum a desired username and desired password (I can generate a password for you as well). Additionally you can also provide: Email, First and last name.

I will message you back with a email to use for reporting any bugs/feature requests and let you know when you can go in and edit.
