Landed in early May and still haven't received my PR card.. can't believe how long it has taken to do this.. I received DM in a shorter time frame than it has taken them to send me my PR card.. what a joke.

Anyone else landed and received their PR card yet?

Good luck to any remaining applicants :) Your time is coming and will come very soon!!
I understand your inconvenience but look at ither applicants still waiting years just see their spouses lol

My thoughts exactly.

Visa exempt foreign nationals getting DM after two months while already sitting on a couch in Canada with their spouses complaining they got their COPR too early or that their PR card hasn't arrived when everyone else has long drawn out application processes and go months or years without being with their spouses because they can't even enter Canada without the COPR.

Ridiculous.

I'll probably receive a few "-'s" for this comment but I really don't care.

You forgot to mention the time they have to take off from work and the money people have to spend to visit their spouses.

+1 for you.

not to mention visa exempt foreigners lying and withholding information from the border guards so they can get into canada and overstay their welcome. i will bring this to my local MP's attention the next time i'm at his office. i'm working hard to fulfil my dream of getting into canadian politics, and god help them if i'm ever in a position to influence the CBSA's policies.

let the down votes commence. i'm at -18 currently, so let's see how much further down i'll be by tomorrow.

I've been working two jobs and close to 80 hours a week with no days except holidays off for almost a year now to support myself, my daughter, and my wife. I work everyday. Literally. Then come on the forum and see people whining their PR card hasn't arrived when my wife can't even visit. I've flown across the world 3 times since last June and spent several thousands of dollars in the process. I send my wife triple the minimum wage in Indonesia so she can have what she wants and live comfortably. I'll be going back again if she doesn't get the visa soon.

Agreed man! and travelling isn't cheap eg airfare for me is $1500 and God forbid I ask for more than two weeks of vacation, I am told that I need to quit. Who quits their job in tough times like these. Got married in may 2015, I visited my wife in November 2015, and now I am going back in October after almost 1 year. This first year for us was supposed to be strengthening our relationship, spending first anniversaries, first birthdays and other family occasions together, instead we spend all this time getting irritated and argue over little things because the frustration of being apart takes over.

Anyways, I am done ranting. I still think people should be a bit sensitive to what others are going through. Everyone is welcomed on this forum to help other members out, but we can definitely do without unjustified complaining.

we just gotta take it one day at a time.

i've served in the CF and being away from my family was one of the tougher things i had to face. now i feel as if i'm going through the same thing all over again, courtesy of my government. hopefully it'll all be over soon.
