I agree with the above post. Start the process now so that by the time you get SA, you have a new one.

I would send a new one! I know processing times for FBI records are 13 weeks right now, what my husband and I did, we just submitted our application to CIC with a letter saying we requested the FBI record (including proof) and that we will get it to CIC as soon as we get it.
The good thing is that they only need the FBI prints AFTER you get your Sponsor Approval, so you should have about 2 months time before they actually need them.

Hope that helped

Hi

Sorry, what is the FBI thing?

Don't worry, that's just for pople who have lived in the US. Its basically a background check

My husband filed last feb 7 2016 :)

Praying and believing we will be approved.

One question, my passport expires on october 2016, can I start renewing now?

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I am planning to submit my application on Thursday, Feb 11th, 2016.

Just had couple questions before I do that:

1) Where exactly do you attach spouses 6 photos ?

2) Immigration guide for India i.e 3904E do we need to attach that as well with the application ?

Thank you,

SS

1. Your wife should areange her documents as per the country specific immigration guide.
2. Yes, this is the guide the sponsored person (principal applicant) follows.
Note that both the sponsorship forms (your forms) and the immigration forms (your wife's forms) need to be posted together.
Hope this helps.

I am learning how to make Google spreadsheets, so I made one for February 2016 outland as well. You can start filling your info guys:

I hope it works, if not, don't get mad, just started to learn today :) But I know how these spreadsheet might be useful in the future to compare timelines :)

Good luck

So my application got returned today because apparently in the Generic Application Form (Page 2 Contact Information Q1), I mentioned my Canadian address for my wife's current mailing address, as my wife is currently living with me on this address on a TRV.

They said and I quote "A correction to the mailing address specified on the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM0008) to reflect the mailing address of the Principal Applicant; or, if the Principal Applicant wishes to have correspondence mailed to the address specified, a completed and signed Use of a Representative form (IMM 5476) is required for the authorization of release of documents and information to the individual residing at this address."

In this case, should I enter her Indian mailing address?

Request some urgent assistance as I need to rectify and send this application again tomorrow.

Cheers!

Either use her Indian address or fill out the Representative form; all correspondence will be mailed out to that address.

I am filling application and going to give my office address as mailing address and residential address in residential address.
and for my spouse in India we giving mailing address of one of our relative in delhi

Do you think this also could become potential reason to get file returned ?

Really scared after looking at above comment about file returned because of the address.
