Hi everyone!

I'm italian and my husband is canadian. We got married on december and we are doing the application outside canada cause I'm still in Italy and he went back to work and have enough money to have me going there.. By the way, I have few questions about the application process.

1. I thought that, once gathered all docs, I should send my forms and documents to my husband in a sealed enevelope and then he should send, in two separates envelopes, all application documents to Mississauga. I unfortunately just read that he should send his own application and, after been accepted as a sponsor, they will ask me to send my application; here it comes the problem: I had my medical examination and my criminal records done in January, which means that they will probably expire before they even start to process the application, since the CIC doesn't accept documents older than 3 months. Can anyone confirm this? Or is it possible to send all documents at the same time?

2. In the sponsor checklist are also my immigrations documents and it looks like that also my criminal records have to be submitted, not photocopied but original. Does that mean that I have to request other two original copies?

This application is so expensive and sometimes I am so discouraged that I burst in tears.. I'm so worried that something might go wrong!!!

Thanks to all of u!!!!

Where did you read you have to send the applications separately? All files should be sent together to Mississauga.
Medicals are valid from 12 to 15 months and those wont be a problem and police clearance for 3 months so if you send it before that they are still valid.

If I remember correctly you need to submit police clearance only for the applicant I think you are getting confused.

Make sure you fill out a new IM0008 form they just released it 2 days ago

Application in the mail today! Should be delivered on Monday. Does that make me a February or a March applicant?

I am from Edmonton too. I sent my application on Feb 14, 2015 via xpress post and they received it on Feb 16, 2015. They signed it also it has been received. Don't worry your application should have gotten there. If you sent by normal mail it would have received by Feb 18. DONT WORRY

Hello! I am from Edmonton Area as well, St. Albert to be exact though. I sent my application on Feb 10th and CPC-M received it and signed on Feb 12th. Let's keep in touch.

I read on the sponsor checklist that, in his package, he needs to put also my immigration forms and criminal records..
