I sent my application on Feb 14 to the Mississauga office.. still early in the process..

hi premmis - welcome! many of us sent it after - have you heard much? steler, for example has the second stage AOR now! if you haven't, quite often it doesn't mean there was a delay - just some of their systems are a bit slow in updating - but calling the helpline is good and they're usually helpful!

AOR received March 27, 2014 exactly one month after they received our application February 27 according to the email.. :)

Steler can you change the date on the spreadsheet because according to Canada Post it was delivered Feb26 but on my AOR email its Feb27.. Thanks!.. ;)

so I called, and I got SA yesterday, march 26th :). The guy told me to follow up in about a week with them to find out when exactly the file gets transfered. Woohoo :).

Congradulations Chamil28 & Seronic on your AOR and SA respectively!

I was beginning to wonder why no one got AOR or SA's this week. Thank you for posting your timings..it helps the rest of us....

KanSri

Congrats Seronic on your SA.. :) Waiting for my SA I hope I will received soon.. ;)

Thanks Kan_Sri don't worry its moving maybe next week it will be March applicants turns.. ;)

Congratulations to you also Seronic,
The date that we have in the spread sheet is the date that we got
through tracking our delivery, in my case, also, Canada Post delivered
it on February 14, but CIC records only shows as received on February 17.
It is just the date that they processes the entry of the file I guess.....
In any event, the spread sheet calls for the date according to courier tracking.

Oh yeah I forgot about that the date on our spreadsheet is the date App Received as per tracking.. Thanks Awesomeg for reminding me.. ;)

I wouldn't mind to change it, but I agree with Awesomeg. They say that they got my app the 12th, but Canada post says that they got it the 7th

i wasn't able to log in until I got the SA email though, so maybe just wait a bit (seems to usually take about a week after receiving AOR, the email you got). going through this process really teaches patience!!

Sorry if this has already been asked & answered previously, but do we get AOR from the visa office (in my case, Nairobi)?? After getting the AOR, what's the next communication we will receive from CIC (assuming no documents are missing, or other information required)?

it usually takes a couple of days for ECAS to work. some people report upwards of 10 days. for me it was 5 or so. give it some time, then log in with either the UCI /sponsor's information or the file number/applicant's information.

from what I hear, most other VO's besides Ottawa (mine) give AOR for the second stage. Steler already has their's from the Paris VO. But assuming no further information is required, no more documents needed and your medical is fine - you probably won't hear a thing until you are told you need/don't need an interview and your passport is requested. It gets pretty quiet and is just a lot of waiting after your file transfer.
