Woke up this morning to a beautiful AOR email :)

I was going to call today for an update since we sent our missing document in 2 weeks ago - guess they heard I was planning to call and hurried that email out :P

(Just for other's knowledge - it was 15 days after we went our missing document in that we heard back)

Also - my Husband and I are in Kelowna, British Columbia. . . we are unsure on if we will be moving or not after PR is granted. Possibly to Brantford Ontario but it's still up in the air.

I live in North Bay Ontario so my hubby will join me here, unless I get my transfer to Ottawa.

Congrats on the AOR!

Congratulations missmatalini!
I already put you with a nice colour in the spreadsheet

Congrats - got some activity going on!
I have no news on my SA - just sitting here being patient...LOL

We got en email about our SA on March 7th in which they said they were mailing us an actual letter.

Has anyone who received an email received an actual letter as well? I was wondering if that would say anything different than the PDF they attached to the email?

Thank you Zarilenth! I was thinking all the time that it was a mistake until I saw the address at the end!
What a happy day!

Steler, was your eCAS updated that your Visa Office AOR was received?

Getting very annoyed/frustrated/concerned here as we still wait after we submitted Feb 6th. Still no SA

AlexKaren, have you tried calling them to get a status update? does ecas say decision made?

Going to wait until the end of the week and then try calling. In the end the most important part is the total processing time, and ultimately the sponsor portion will be approved, but just frustrated by the seemingly randomness of the speed they are posting vs reality and what others are experiencing. When we were applying for visitor visas we were fortunate that it was done in half the processing time. My thoughts are that it might have something to do with us physically both being in Canada presently.... (not sure how it factors in though)

I was curious if anyone wanted to share where they are anticipating living once they make it to Canada? I'm interested in seeing where everyone is going to end up (:

My partner is already with me in Gatineau, Quebec, just across the river from Ottawa. He doesn't like the winter (fell twice on ice steps this year) and he hates the fact that stores close so early (9 pm most days, 10 for grocery stores, 5-6 pm weekends, 10 for groceries). We will probably stay here, because the cost of living is good and we are close to family (relatively).

is it the AOR2? I thought it was the first one because the little issue with Option C printout

it sounds like your AOR from the Paris VO, steler!! :) I don't think they resend AORs for missing documents.

it would be nice if Ottawa sent one too, but oh well.
