Is there anyone here who applied in February 2014 and has Singapore as the VO for the 2nd part of the Spousal application? Did any of you receive any response from them recently, either asking for re medical or police check?

You can check the singapore spreadsheet in my signature below. Then can ask those persons directly. Its better than posting your same question in many different threads.

Still no Response from our VO.

I don't want to be "that annoying person" but should we email again? Or give it a few more days?

Hi Miss...

Waiting is annoying...
but I think that you should give more time...

At least you are in Canada already... Most of us still separated from our spouses... :-X

The push is I really want to go home and see my family and not worry about having to get back in. Really am worried this isn't going to finish soon enough and my dying grandfather will have gone and I'll be too late :\
(That being said I also am dying to be able to work and move out of my father in law's basement suite and feel what it's like to be an actual newlywed)

Sorry if my ranting and worry is offensive to those that are separated from their spouses. I feel for you, entirely, but being in Canada under the conditions I'm in isn't much easier.

How long have you been in Canada already? I've been staying with my husband in Canada, but also coming in and out of the country during my stay. I *think* you'll be safe to go home to visit your family, especially since it is important to see your grandfather before it is too late. Don't let CIC determine your schedule for that. I always make sure I bring all of my documents (marriage certificate, letter from the lawyer stating that we're in the midst of getting PR, etc) with me just in case they ask, but they haven't asked yet. They usually just ask how long I'm staying for. I"m always up front. I tell them I'm staying to visit my husband and that I have already submitted an application for PR. If you're worried, you could even buy a refundable plane ticket to show them that you'll be leaving and just return it when you get to Canada.

I've been here a year and just sent away my papers to extend my stay I few weeks ago.

I really have toyed with the idea of just trying to head home, but my family keeps trying to put it off until PR is granted because they too are worried that I'll be denied at the border and with the string of luck we've been having, it would happen.

We are most likely flying into the States for Christmas, but I'll continue to hope I'll have landed before then. If not we'll be making the gamble then.

I hear you...
better don't make any unnecessary movement....
just keep the flow... its true.. With immigration you never know....
but they should let you in once you are already married and you have an application going...
but you are right..
maybe by then your application is finalized and you get to do the landing when you return...
That will be the best case...

I hope that the wait is over soon...
