My wife received e-mail from visa office they requested some documents PCC,RPRF and sponsor employment letter.I don't know this is good news or not bcoz status is still Application Received.For adding new born baby with application I will send some forms and fee to CIC as per instructions of CIC canada.Thanks

By the way, does anyone know at what point they notify you of an interview if there will be one? There's no way to know of course, but just wondered if we still have to worry about an interview on top of everything else, or if generally they notify you of an interview earlier than this.

I believe they give you at least 2 months notice if there is one. I'm not sure of when they request one though.

According to immigration lawyer, once you receive PPR, interview is waved. So as long as you have not received PPR, they can request interview.

yes, it's a copy of the passport to confirm the information is still the same/pp still valid. some visa offices (such as ottawa) will skip this part, and just go straight to in process or decision made.

Today my status on CIC website changed to IN PROCESS!!!!!

It says they started processing on Aug 20, 2014.

Any ideas on how much longer until I get decision made?

I have already paid the RFPF...

For us, we went to In Process on August 8, said they started August 5. We changed to Decision Made on August 12. When my husband got his CoPR, it said it was issued on August 8.

So about 4 days later? What is CoPR? Is that the visa?

Yes, the CoPR is Confirmation of Permanent Residence, which is the document used for landing. My husband is American and so he doesn't require an additional visa to come to Canada, he just used the CoPR when he entered Canada.

Okay, our visa office is Havana (my husband is in Cuba) and I think they usually ask that you present your passport at the embassy & they place the visa in it. So I guess that's the same as CoPR and he will hopefully be asked to do that in a few days.

no, when you require a visa to enter canada, then they will request the physical passport which will receive a pr approval stamp/counterfoil. this is not the same as a COPR. The COPR is a separate document that will be sent back with his passport. he will need to show his passport AND COPR upon landing.

Ah okay I think I understand. they will request his passport, and place a visa in it as well as a separate document CoPR... and the timeline for that for you was only a few days, and I read some other threads where it was 12 days etc... so almost there I hope
