Hi Everyone!

Finally some great news!! My husband was asked for meds on October 22, they got them on October 25. On October 29 we received and email stating my husbands visa was ready to be picked up. Today, on November 4th my husband went to the VO and got his visa and PR confirmation!!!

We sent our file to Mississaugua on Feb 27 2013. I was approved as a sponsor on March 27 2013 and file was sent to our VO that treated our file.
Interview waived

Guys God is grand, keep praying and do not lose hope, God will take care of the rest, keep faith!!

Hi there,

Have you got your extension visa yet? I just applied one too. I have another problem, I'm now using my international driver license but it can be use for up to 6 months in BC (which valid for 1 year actually) after 6 months I will need to do a driving test in order to keep driving, for our status, can we apply for driving test? Thank.

I believe you can do it :) They don't really ask for any residency info when you get a driver's license.
Anyone, please correct me if I am mistaken.

Also, you can only use your license from your country for only 90 days (3 months) if you are already landed and 6 months if you are a visitor (don't know exactly what your status is), and you need to do the theory exam before you can do the road test. You will get a Class-5 license right away instead of going through a "Novice" one.

Please could the spreadsheet manager do the honours as I landed successfully today in Toronto? Thanks...

CONGRATS Zardoz!! Welcome to Ontario. :)

Pretty quiet on here lately. I was updated to decision made on October 28th. Still waiting for something in the mail. Everyday nada, nothing, zilch. My mail box is void of happiness in a brown envelope. I realize it hasn't been that long and my mailing address is in the US. Who else is waiting?

Dear Zardoz

Congratulations and wishing you all the best on your new life in Canada. think of us Vienna players who it seems going to have to wait for long long time as no one is getting anything from this VO.

Regards

Tom

Thanks Tom, just got back to the United Kingdom this morning. I have to say, my dealings with CBSA and Service Canada couldn't have been smoother. Now to finish packing everything up, decorate the house and sell up. We are aiming to "settle" in February.
I do wish Vienna would "get their finger out" for you guys... This system is so unfair.

Reading some of this i guess kinda makes me feel a little better knowing that I am not the only one waiting ...we got passport request from ottawa on Aug 12....sent that in along with original copy of FBI report(he accidently sent in a copy) proof of our communication.....then in beginning of October found out doctor and immigration lost his medical, so he redid that and according to the gcms notes they have received everything and his application was pending transfer of medicals....looks like everything went into process 10/31 as per the gcms notes...now we wait and wait and wait...starting to get all depressed again....not good at waiting...just want it to be over ..(file received Feb.8th..sponsporship approved March 15th)

Hi all :) :)

Could someone from our February thread like to volunteer administering our Spreadsheet?
Reason is I have been very busy and tired lately due to the coming of our newborn baby and I don't have much free time to check upon updates here in our thread.

If anyone is interested pls let me know. It will be most appreciated.

Regards

Tom
