Good Morning All and Congrats to all who got their visa

I'm a Canadian citizen. I'm currently have a sponsorship application in place for my husband. Our visa office is Accra.

They request additional information from us in June 2013. We sent this information in August 2013. Our application was sent to Accra office on Aug 2012.
Here are some of the info they requested:
-Repay deportation fees (my husband bought his own ticket, so there was no fees to repay...we sent them proof)
-Police and RCMP clearance
-Bio page of passport

Since we sent the info, they didnt get back to us. Our lawyer sent them an email several times for update but they didnt reply.

Any Suggestions please???

Hello guys!

It's been a while since I went to visit this forums. It's been quite here lately hasn't it? I have a quick question for all filipino applicants that has already went thru the passport request stage. On what address did you guys sent you passport with the additional requested documents (if there were any)? In the email that CEM sent me on August 1st, there was 2 addresses written in there. Same building, same level, but the other one says "Visa Section" and the other one says "Family Class Section, Immigration Section". And in the letter there were no specific instructions on where to send the passport and the additional requested documents. My wife sent it to the "Family Class Section, Immigration Section" address. It's been more than 3 months, other march and april applicants have already landed in Canada, and some Feb. Applicants are still on the PPR stage so im kinda confused and worried. Any help will be much appreciated!

Messenger, your daughter is an angel sir! Everytime I see her picture on FB, there's only one thing that goes to my head, "I am looking on a picture of a little angel that went down to earth to give some joy to people."..

I sent mine to the family class section as well and it got there fine. You might want to try order some GCMS notes and see what's going on with your file.

The only email we received from them after sending in our passport was a request for a Singapore police clearance but no confirmation of the passport being received. Did you have any other outstanding documents they are waiting for or was everything sent with the PPR request?

I did end up emailing them a few weeks before our meds expiring asking them what date our meds expire and if they could extend them if the application isn't done by then. We 'magically' received the visa a few days later and they called us to pick it up. You could try do that as well, or even send them an email saying it's been a while and you are concerned about them receiving the passport, see if they can confirm they received it. They were able to confirm for us earlier in the process via email they had received our Lebanon police certificate when i asked for an update.

Try to email them again, put URGENT expired medical on the subject, make sure to include your wife's file number and other important information that they may need. Also try to order GCMS notes, that's what I'm planning to do if I don't hear any news from them until next week.

Same here, still application received & I feel frustrated too every time I check my ECAS..Let's just pray & be positive that we'll receive the good news soon!

So I thought I would update everyone. I got DM on November 22nd, and I'm still waiting for the COPR. Really hoping it comes in the next two weeks because my Medical runs out on February 5th.
