OMG!!OMG!!OMG!!
I got my passport back! in 2 weeks! I got the PPR on April 26th but because I needed the passport for the CFA exam, I had to hold on to it until June 2nd. And I got it in mail today!!!!OMG!!!!Beijing office is super fast! Even with the strike!!!

Hope I can spread the good luck to all you guys!!!You will all get your PR real soon!!! ;D

I don't have anything that says "Medicals Received"! Is this bad? We did them before we even sent our application....they should have received them, no? Oh no, now I'm worried I hope things work out for the best....

I am in the same situation!! Haven't heard of our medicals since we sent them in almost a year ago.

Why did you do the medicals so early when you had sent your apps in on February. I can only assume that because your doctors sent in your results ahead of your apps then it can only mean that probably CIC did not update your ecas and sent them to Rome immediately.
Maybe When you get an update from Rome they will post it on Ecas.
Be patient and don't worry!

Any good news around here? I read something over the internet last week about the canadian embassies all over the world went strike and the processing times for applicants will experience some delays. That made me stop from breathing while at work and made me tremble the whole day. This is a very VERY sad news for us. Hope everything goes back to normal. This is too much for me to take.

Why did you do the medicals so early when you had sent your apps in on February. I can only assume that because your doctors sent in your results ahead of your apps then it can only mean that probably CIC did not update your ecas and sent them to Rome immediately.
Maybe When you get an update from Rome they will post it on Ecas.
Be patient and don't worry!

Hi Tom, my address in the NBI is different from my present address, will it affet the background check?because I thought when we had our NBI clearance we will be able to move out to the new unit but then the occupants there extended for another month. DO I need to get a new one?

It shouldn't be a big deal. As long as the NBI clearance is not more than 3 months old it's still good. Plus, on the addresses for the past 10 years, you will be including your present address anyway

You mean anywhere in the Philippines po you can get your NBI even if the address is the previous one?
