not so long! you're going through SYdney, which is one of the fastest VO. and Efficient too! they'll probably send you an AOR and you'll be done before you even know it! :-)

I'm possibly going to have the longest wait on this thread -- a daunting 26 months (although I'm led to believe that this stat is the worst case scenario). :(

Have you been on the Singapore thread? Have you checked out the spreadsheets? I'm only asking because the NDVO says 10 months on the CIC website but it looks like most of the PR's are completed after 4-6 months. I hope that this happens for Singapore. Even if it takes 15 months instead of 26 months is better....

Please someone share your experience with Paris VO.

Do they send an AOR?

Thanks

WooHoo got our SA today... feverishly been checking our email for days and had neglected to check our post office box... who knows how long it had been sitting there, i had not even considered them sending it via snail mail!!

so my man just called me now and told me that he had gotten a letter saying that we have been approved for sponsorship and our application has been sent abroad for further review... im not sure of the date the letter was sent form CPC-M though i will update this post when i see the letter with my own eyes.

I must admit it was a litte disheartening seeing all the blue surrounding us on the spreadsheet but finally its here and i feel like i can breathe again....

now for the long agonizing wait......

And to those immigrations gods up there determining our fate i do believe it is Messenger's turn for some great news :)

Yessssssss! Bravo OZinON ! May you have a speedy rest of the process and thank you so much for your thoughts! :) :) :) :) :)

I have and although the trend seems to be improving it still seems like the wait time is fairly long (they recently increased the time from 22 to 26). The positive news is that some of the apps have been completed in 10-13 months so maybe I'll be lucky :)

When the PPR is done by the visa office, does it update in ecas? If so, what does it state?

In my case, I received PPR last friday but no status update on ecas yet.
I'm guessing it'll take a week or so. Have you received PPR and if so when was it?

Received email from CIC confirming they have changed my email address on my file (Sponsor file).

I sent them a request on March 12th by email to change my email address as I've changed internet providers.

I took the advise of many and went with a new email address not linked to my internet service.

~ It's not big news but I was about to call the Customer Centre about this so this saves me half an hour of frustration on the phone ~

:P did I say "email" often enough?

Hmm, there's a button on top which says Insert Flash. I don't know what it does. I wonder if I'll break anything if I just hit it and see what happens ...

[flash=200,200]http://lol I just did it, I inserted flash[/flash]

apparently it does nothing...

Looks like a slow day on the February boards! I don't know about all of you, but if you are already in Canada, especially Ontario, aren't you tired of winter, and the snow? I am. Hope Spring gets here soon!
Have a good evening...

Don't you get used to the climate at one point.
I have to say that to console myself for choosing quebec. I have to admit most of Ontario is better than Quebec on average.

Its a winter storm (never heard it before all these yrs) yesterday and today in Quebec :(

We share the same sentiments skas13. I live here in Edmonton and tomorrow is supposedly the first day of Spring BUT the ground is still covered with snow. We also expect some flurries by Thursday-Friday.
I can't wait to see green leaves and lots of sunshine! :D

Ecas doesn't show anything for PPR. New Delhi asks for passport at the beginning of the process, so unfortunately it doesn't mean that they have started processing your file. It means that they have received it for sure, but nothing else, so ecas won't change.
For other VOs, they request the passport at the end - and in that case ecas changes to "in process" (sometimes, not always) as it means that the visa is almost ready.
Good luck,
Sweden
