Hi all!
I'm new in the forum but would like to join this conversation. Our application was delivered to Mississauga on February 12th, yesterday my husband got some confirmation email from them. He didn't tell me more specific about it yet (but i asked him to forward the email for me).. Is this the AOR everyone is talking about or something else? I'm so confused what we should be getting and when.. :

Oh and messenger: my application was accepted by Bud Jamal as well.. it's in good hands for sure!

Yeah! Bud Jamal! What a sweet name hehehe! Lets hope that by the end of the next 15 days we all get our AOR's and why not our SA too if not asking too much!

Our medical date was August 5/2012

And I sent it on February 12th and they received it on the 15th
So it's been almost 3 weeks since they have received it.

And Our Visa office is in Cairo.

Did you have to send your medicals by yourself? My husband told me that when he did his in Hyderabad (India), that the Dr sent everything to New Delhi. My husband didn't even get to see them. They just gave him a green form (IM something) to submit with our application.
I guess it works differently in each country?

You get the medicals done, include the form the dr gives you and that's it. The medical facility then forwards the docs and results to the vo.

This is getting a bit ridiculous! - Canada post still not showing my app has been delivered. It went "out for delivery" yesterday morning around 9am, ( I google mapped the sorting facility of canada post to the po box) apparently 10 minutes by car! - sad I know! extreme times call for extreme measures.

We sent it off on the 21st, and now the 27th! - one thing for sure it I will be marching down to Canada Post for my refund!

Knew I should have followed my gut instinct and gone with Fedex!! - never again will we use CP!

Nope.

AOR= Acknowledgement of Receipt.

CPC might and might not send you this. But basically, AOR tells you that CPC already received your application. Some people don't get AOR and they jump straight into getting their SA (Sponsorship Approval).

The trend this February is, most of us got our AORs 2 weeks after the parcel arrived in CPC.

Oh sweet. I'm pretty sure Gary will update your timeline in the spreadsheet soon.

I was telling myself the same, where are the SAs?? lol.

Well from most sa's it seema they take 6-10 days after aor. So hopefully soon!

Thanks! Yeah I just updated it online, I was going to call just to make sure it's done right. This process is making me paranoid of making a mistake haha!

Technically we should all get aor' s from our vo's but not all of them send it. Apparently sydney has a good rep for sending aor's but london doesn't. So expect one soon! But if u don't don't worry. Its out of your hands now and cic will process everything as needed.

As for the meds check ecas and it should say there when they receive it. Mine hasn't yet but I haven't got sa either. And dont rely on ecas. Its unreliable.

Yr meds will be transferred and your file is on its way to sydney if not already there!

Yea ecas is not very reliable, says theyve received my application and nothing about SA or Medicals haha
