I wish I would have known there was another address to mail it to. I mailed it xpresspost to the PO Box Adress. I have done so much research while putting together this application over the last few months, I have no idea how this address thing slipped by me. Grr!

Don't worry. It will all go to the same office Almost everyone here sent it to the PO box and it got there on safely and on time.

I did mine to the PO box as well. In the end it gets there the same as if you sent it to the courier one. So, dont worry. It'll get there in the next day or two. its not going to affect the outcome and a day or two is nothing in the long run. got a long wait ahead either way!

WOOOHOOOOO!! Gary, update my status please when you have a minute. My wife got her packet today and signed all her places and sent it back out xpresspost. It is guaranteed delivery by tomorrow at noon!! I'm not sure what I told you tentatively but it looks like my official date of delivery is going to be February 21. I'm SOOOOOOO relieved!!

On top of that, I am stil waiting to have my non-accompanying minor take her medicals (scheduled April 1st) and I was waiting for my marriage certificate (we had to wait 12 weeks to apply for it). Well the marriage certificate came yesterday!! I am going to wait until the medicals are done and mail that recceipt with the certificate to my VO office once the SA is approved and the file is forwrded to Ottawa. I feel ike I can FINALLY sit back and relax.

BTW, my destination once I arrive I Canada will be ON.

I'm sorry to hear about the delay on your parcel, messenger. I hope everything gets cleared soon. Anyway, skas13's concern is about the safeness of the courier address compared to the PO box. I will say, there is almost no difference between the two address when it comes to safeness and time of arrival. The problem with your parcel tho, is I'm guessing, the scanning of the delivery. I hope they will give you an update ASAP.

I was told it's not ideal but because I was not sure how long it would take to get the marriage license I wanted to have it mailed in and can just send it after the fact. I did put a copy of the certificate we signed at our ceremony so there is proof of our marriage, just not the official marriage license. They can add it to my file once it gets to my final destination. As for my daughter's medicals, since she is not moving with us to Canada I was told it's not a huge issue either. I will forward it at the same time and they will have it by the time they start really processing the entire packet. It's not ideal but I didn't want to wait until April to mail the packet into CIC. I know that if I tried to submit it without some of the key components that it might be returned. Fingers crossed it goes well.

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that! That is the reason I was afraid to wait it out because I figured it would take a couple of months. It turns out I mmailed the packet to my wife last week and the very next day the marriage certificate showed up!!!! It took exactly 9 days for it to come. Had I known I would have waited BUT I still would have to wait to send in my daughter's medicals. Since she lives so far from me and there are no doctor's in her are, we have no choice but to wait until April 1 to do hers. Again, not a big issue since she is not accompanying me. I was told by my attorrney that not turning in my marriage certificate and my daughter's meds *might* delay the packet a month ortwo in processing but there is also a good chance it won't delay it at all depending on how long it takes the SA to happen. If that drags on until mid March or end of March and then the packet ships end of March to Ottawa, I will be mailing these two documents to Ottawa on April 1 so it would get there about the same time as my packet.

I totally hear yah!!! You know how you get email notification when getting a private message from someone here in the forum? The sender is "Canada Immigration Forum" and the quick view will only show "Canada Immigration...", it makes my heart jump every time. LOL.

January peeps have been getting a lot of SAs. I'm pretty sure we'll be the next ones to get AORs and hopefully SAs very soon.
