Oh, that's strange! Do you use mobile device or computer? I heard that there were some issues with the mobile version or something. With my computer it worked normally, just looked a little bit different.

ECAS is working properly on laptop and iphone, i have tried it on ipad then i don't know the reason why it's not working...

Yeah, I just tried it on my iPad and it's not working. First when I logged in it looked fine but then all of a sudden it just went blue and all the info was gone. Strange indeed! Especially if it works on iPhone...

the landing process is very easy. Going through immigration, the applicant just has to tell that he wants to land as a PR ( if non-visa exempt that's pretty obvious). Usually he is sent to another office, where an officer will sit down and verify a few things ( identity) and ask questions: are you still married/common law, any change in the family composition, and your future address in Canada ( to send the PR Card). They the officer will sign the COPR, as well as the applicant, and that's it - end of the process! quite easy.

After the PPR, it depends on the VO. Some VO ( Manilla, New Delhi) ask for the passport in advance and it doesn't mean that the process is over. Others (London, Paris), ask for the passport when they're ready to issue the visa. Most countries don't need anything else, but yes - Manila applicants have to go through a seminar and get a sticker - you can ask the Filipino thread for more info.

Good luck,
Sweden

Yehey Sweden, I'm so happy to inform you our docs are with my husband already, we're inserting his docs,I'm on the phone instructing him on how to do it while he's inserting his docs at the other end. He will send the application Monday to Mississauga by courier. Is is faster to send by courier or just the same if done in Canada post? We will be part of Aug applicants...We're done with our upfront medical June 10. We paid everything last July 9, 2013...

I'll tell you when he sends the app on Monday...

Thank you so much to all of you here in the forum who helped us in the preparation of our documents, thanks for all your advice and support. Not only you Sweden, Iay, Messenger and those I haven't mention but everybody here who are sharing their ideas, experiences and stories...You just don't know how happy we are to be members of this forum...

Thank you so much and God bless us all...

My CoPR arrived today. Issued on 22nd, so it took 9 days from London to arrive.

It incorrectly states that we are subject to "Conditional PR" but I can't be bothered to fight it.

Please could the spreadsheet be updated with whatever information is missing on my line.

I have both a laptop and an ipad. On the ipad it will show the info. for about 2 seconds then go to the blue screen. I have to keep hitting the refresh button until I have enough time to click the blue link button for further status (which of course, still says application received). On my laptop the page works just fine. I doubt they will fix it anytime soon if the speed at which they process applications is any indication. :P :P

They need to stamp or otherwise affix the visa into the passport.

My husband is from a non-visa exempt country (India) and thus requires a visa to enter Canada, to go along with the COPR. The New Delhi office has had his passport since May 1st. They request it VERY early on in the process. But now with the strike who knows how long this whole thing will take. Poor hubby can't even go on a vacation- no passport!

Hi skas13

Sometimes I feel so angry that CIC is doing its best in keeping families apart. Especially when I think of you with your babies waiting for your husband. This is totally unfair.
NDVO is on strike if am not mistaken. This is a total mess and cruel!
Our VO Vienna is not on strike but as far as I am concerned they might as well be because no one from 2013 has taken any PR so far. They are still behind in issuing PR's to 2012 applicants fcol.
I wish for the strike to be over soon so your family can be reunited asap

Best regards
Tom

Yes it's sad and frustrating. i can wait it out as I am an adult, I just feel so bad for my children and my husband. Not seeing your children for (8 months now) is awful. It will take a lot of work to re-bond with them again. Anyway, I can't cry over this, but I am doing everything I can to fight it. I have written the PM, Tony Clement, PAFSO. I have contacted the media. I am not alone, there are many people trying to help fight this. Whether it helps or not, I don't know, but I feel better doing something rather than nothing. It's kind of like my therapy ;)

Awesome! You got it!! :) Great news!

I emailed them yesterday and they answered from a weird email address today. They haven't even started to process my file yet... and they asked me to contact them again in 30 days if I haven't heard anything back before that. Don't know why really :D

30 days is good. That must mean yours is getting close to the top of the pile!!

I hope so! :) And what I really hope is that they won't ask for any additional documents! They've done the "first review" on the file and at least then they didn't want anything more. Let's hope it stays that way until the end. ;)

Does anyone know if it is possible to take a short course (if it is less than 6 months and you have legal status to be in Canada-of course) without a study permit?

Boss Messenger,
I just got an email this morning when i woke up from Canada Immigration Manila for PPR. I bet your are next in line my good friend. PPR Date : August 1st.
