Hi raj,
Can you plz tell me that I applied for EE 378 scores. So shall i wait for pnp or on the other end i find a course after MBA to apply through study visa.
378 is a very lean score when it comes to getting an ITA. You will have to try in for a nomination or increase your score. What does your ielts score card reads?

You don't need to attach anything in your EE profile. You will be needing your documents only post ITA.

2) You will need your NOC, designation, date of joining (and leaving, if applicable) and your company's name.

Thanks Rajkamalmohanram.

I'm not 100% sure about NOC code number for my previous work experience, still waiting for confirmation on that from NOC specialists.
If I create EE profile now, and then later find out that I indicated wrong NOC code for my previous work experience, will I be able to change it in EE?

Yes, you can update your profile till the time you have not sent your application package to OINP or till you get an ITA. You can refer to this link to understand how can you can edit your profle http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=1005&t=29.

Superb. Excellent :) information.

I have all the right documents with me what you mentioned. I had applied FSWP 2014 but unfortunately cap has been reached and not able to go through. For the Express entry I have tried so many times, but not able to create the profile successfully. It is showing error message all the time. Can you please help me to create successful profile for EE program.

Thanks,

HI All

i am here to request your guidance. I made a profile on CIC and got around 400 points. I am NOT sure if i am doing anything wrong.

1) I have Masters in EE from US university.
2) Work Ex of more than 6 years in US
3) Scored 7.5 Bands in IELTS
4) My wife is also a Masters from US

NOT able to understand why my score is so low ???

The only two things i don't have:
1) Offer letter from Canadian Employer
2) NO relatives in Canada.

Can someone guide me if this is what i should expect, a score of around 400.

Thank you
Abhay

You can try keying your details into these calculators and check what score you are getting.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp OR
https://www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html

1. Have you got your ECA done? What does it state about your Master's Canadian equivalency?
2. More than the overall score, the individual scores in each band matters, if you get CLB 9 (LRWS - 8777), you can maximize the full potential of IELTS in boosting your score. IELTS has the highest weightage in your CRS score.
3. You can also claim upto 20 points for your wife's IELTS scores (try the above calculator and see)
4. If you have done ECA for your wife's Masters, you can claim up to 10 points (but this is not mandatory)
5. Many of us do not have a job offer or relatives in Canada, so that does not affect your score.

Lately, I've heard technical errors popping up for people who are creating/editing their EE profile! Give it a try tomorrow!

If you still cannot do it, send a mail to the CIC technical team! Read this --->

Hi,

I have a few questions regarding the PCC, before submitting the ITA eAPR. Seniors please help me out:

1. As a dependent , do I have to send my PCC along with the main applicant at the time of submission of eAPR?
2. We have a 10-mth old minor. Do we need to get a PCC for him as well? i haven't been able to find something specific in that regard

Do help !
1) Yes. All documents should be sent upfront (there are minor exceptions). One such exception - CIC gives you extra time to get a FBI PCC. So, if it is not the FBI PCC that you are talking about, then no! You should submit it upfront!

2) No. PCC s required only for people over 18 years old. However, you should get medicals done for your child!

Generally, it is sufficient to get the highest degree assessed!

Check your equivalency here-->

http://www.wes.org/ca/evaluations/preliminary.asp

Check what documents you require here--->

http://www.wes.org/ca/required/

But if you get both assessed, you pay the same fee!!

Spouse ECA is optional but it adds points to your CRS! And the above applies to her ECA too!

As Raj rightly pointed out, you need to do it only for your highest degree. But if you have a feeling or doubt that WES may not treat your Masters equivalent to Canadian Masters, then you may as well send your Bachelors, as you pay only once, irrespective of the number of degrees being assessed. But later if you to wish to assess your Bachelors separately, then you will have to make the payment again.

If you want to claim points for your wife's education (max 10 points), then you can get the ECA done for her as well, but you cannot club it as part of your application and payment. Each person will be treated as a separate application at WES, so the payment will also be separate (in other words, double).

Thanks a lot Stanlee and Raj.

As you guys have very valuable knowledge which can definitely help others like me. I have two more quick questions. Hope you wouldn't mind

1) Do i need to get my and my wife's Masters degree evaluated, before i submit my application ??
2) Does it matter to have her a primary applicant as her masters is in Computer Science and i have done my masters in EE from USA.

Thank you
Abhay
