One potential issue I observe is that Jan applicants are getting File numbers in 30XX range. OINP already declared that they received 1800 applications in Jan.
Considering OINP quota for 2016 is 5400, Jan applicants will reach upto file number 4800 so effectively only 600 AORs (5400-4800 = 600) will be left for Feb & onwards applicants. So some 2016 applications might have to be processed as part of 2017 quota.
But again this is just based on our assumption of how OINP file numbers work, which may not be accurate, so just take this with a pinch of salt and please do not get in panic mode . :-[

@DigitalDestiny, they always issue more AORs than required because there will be many applications returned and rejected. So anything about 5400 + 15 % will be okay
What I believe is that a quota is never fixed on number of nomination or ITA. e.g if 52000 is the quota for EE, it may not mean 52000 ITA. There are 2 or 3 people in many applications. They will see number of immigrants and not ITA .

OINP did process some 2015 applicants in 2016 Quota (around Sept.-Nov 2015), so it should be the same this year as well.

When will we get nomination ? when will we get ITA ? When will we land in Canada ? When will we get a Job? When will we get married ? when will we sponsor spouse ?

2016 quota will not be finished even in 2019, if they dont come out with a major system change.DigitalDestiny said:

Many a times I feel, OINP should have expressed, declared on their site for applicants to volunteer, design, develop, test, implement, update data ..
Many of us (2173 range) as a team would have come forward and would have architect-ed a small application to manage all OINP work flow management of all streams in max of four weeks.
Why OINP has adopted manual method in this era, is difficult to imagine, comprehend.
CGI a Canadian company, who developed EE application, could have developed an application for OINP in a very short span of time.
All these questions are a puzzle.
Patience, good hope are the only two options with applicants.
I learnt to be patient, be hopeful and face uncertainty after my application. :'( :-[ :'( :-[

I recall my seniors who just applied for Can PR through consultants, submitted the docs and got along with their lives.
As and when the Consultants asked additional docs etc, they submitted. The process took 11 to 24 months for PR. Just sharing some info. ??? :

They all are settled there with good Jobs, waiting for me..what do I tell them? When will I be able to go?
Where are the other December applicants ! Ran away with the AOR? We are still not done. its only 82.5 % recd AOR....we have to encourage 12 more applicants.

Same here, I really missed the opportunities as I thought I should complete 5 years experience as S/W Engineer on Oracle Platform
with a MNC for better opportunities. Continuing 6th year

We can't co relate. We need good fate coupled with our hard work, sincerity :'( :'( :'(
