Guys for people who received DD back from OINP via Purolator, do the courier call u before you receive your package and do they send u tracking so can u track it

As per @skvach who tracks file number : -

- The file number in sent the PDF enclosed to your AOR. It looks like XHSW-160XXYY.
The XX position, enlighten us about the remaining quota for 2016.

- Actually, 160 means 2016 quota that started in Nov 2015, so all applications since then were given 160XXYY file numbers.

- The quota for 2016 was announced last November = 5500 for ALL streams. Out of this the EE quota for 2016 is around 2700.

- according to file numbers they received around 1400 complete applications in November as a part of 2016 quota and between June and November 2015 around 3000 AORs were issued. (2015 quota)

Other Observations :-

- File Number is generated when ONIP encash your draft or work on your file and not when they actually send out your AOR.
Usually OINP works sequentially but in few cases some applications get picked out-of-turn also.

- Actually the quota for 2016 is 5400 so file numbers will be from 0-5400. EE quota is just 2700 but FileNumber reflect all AORs (EE & non-EE) that OINP is sending out

- People got AOR on June 20th with file # 270X range, on 28-June the File Number was in 29XX range. So in span of 7-8 days they sent 250 AORs

Actually great information, thank you very much, but can you clarify if my file number is 1601408, is this ok that I will fall in the quota for 2016 or not? and whether I should expect a positive reply or nothing is granted?

Finally, Just now got the AOR !!!!!!

There is just 1 PDF attached in the email. No DD receipt. I have been asked to re-send the DD.

Please edit your post to mask the last two characters of your file number (refer to the quoted message).

Your File number starts with 16 so it's definitely in 2016 quota.

Nothing is granted, till you receive PR docs ("CoPR") and visa is stamped on your passport. OINP & later IRCC can ask for additional documents and can refuse if not satisfied.

My passport was valid for less than 2 years during sending the package, but I still got aor. I didn't send them an LOE, Instead I sent them an email stating the reason why I couldn't renew it at that time and they responded that they have accepted my emails and attached with my file and they would call me in future for further clarification or documentation if required.

I sent them an email post receiving the aor. So now I will apply for new passport looking at your friend's experience. Was this reason clearly mentioned in the explanation letter that they included in the package that was returned to your friend? Ie. They r rejecting because of passport being valid less than 2 yrs?

please sit tight for now until after you receive AOR, they also instructed this many times to many of us in correspondence: "do not send any updates to this office until after you receive a file number"

My PP Issue date 07/10/2013 Note: My current PP was 2 years 4 month old
OINP Received my application 16/02/2016 Hence, I did not not submit my old PP copies to OINP

Please confirm if I am good. :'( :'( ??? ???
