Hi December applicants. Please note that the CIC has issued a new form for IMM 0008 in November 2014 and this should have been inserted in your applications instead of the August one.

OH MY! I just checked out my filled-out form, and it was outdated. I filled up the August one since I had long filled it up before I printed it out.

The bad news is my husband has sent the package to CIC just last Jan.5 and the postal service said the item was received Jan.8. What should I do? SHould we wait for the feedback of CIC or send the new form outright? What's going to happen to our application? I'm really sad right now as this could possibly mean delay :c

I received visa statment date in 2 days.

however now when i check the step 1 : for the number of days, it shows 81

step 1 was supposed to be 45 days, so i am not sure whats going on there.

probably because of the numerous applications being sent and the backlog of approving application due to the holiday season.

Well you can try contacting the CIC call centre and informing them of the situation. They may inform you to wait until you are notified by CIC to send in the updated form. There is also a chance they could just send back your whole application and ask you to resend with new updated form. I would call CIC just to see what they advise - I've read this has happened to other people on here so don't worry you are not the only one. It may be a simple fix!

It should not be a matter of concern for CIC as the only change in Form IMM 0008 is that the revised form doesn't have Q4 to mention your visa office which they will decide on your home address. Everything else is same.

I suggest that you have to wait until CIC contacts you to provide the updated form. If your application is complete and just the new form is missing then they will request only the updated as in our case. We had sent the June form instead of the August one.

The sad part is that they will deem your application to be complete as from the date they have received the updated form.

I just hope that you do have not to go through which we the August and September applicants (including me) did.

Hi everyone,

I would like to join the group. For the past year, I have read threads and threads of comment/advice while preparing the application package. I really appreciate everyone's input here. Today, I have decided to create an account and contribute on this forum.

I have submitted my application in Dec. Just updated the excel file. I was disappointed too when I saw that the processing timeline of stage 1 changed from 58 days to 81 days. Anyway, I haven't received the AOR over email yet, nor am I able to check on ECAS. I was worried until I checked on this thread. As someone here pointed out, it may take 60 days (or 2 weeks before the stated timeline of 81 days as of now) to receive AOR / SA. I guess I just have to be patient..... :-X

Thanks again for everyone's input on this forum. I will contribute whenever I have spare time!

Guys I wouldn't be too concerned about the 81 days. They would have shut down from 24dec-05Jan like most departments- so it would put them two weeks behind.
We should start seeing ours role in next month. Good luck everyone!
