I got my sponsorship approval on oct 26. So you and me should receive the Ankara AOR at the same time. for last few people it took them around 4 weeks to receive second AOR which means either this week or next one for us. I'm looking forward to this Thursday :)

Ankara doesn't send AORs. Or at least I've never seen anybody mentioning that they've done so in the past. I certainly hope they start doing so.

I meant status changing to In Process on ecas. I know they don't email us.
As long as I get something from them showing progress I'm happy :)

hello everyone

I just find out cic website update the Ankara office to 16 months ! and the bad news is they changed the date above this table :
The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between October 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012 !!
They update this on Oct 24. Before this update, if I'm not wrong that date is between 2011 and March 2012 ... So they add 4,5 months to that duration :( which is included my application .... why is this happening?

Yes, I also hope you will change to In Process soon. Based on what I've observed from what's been happening in Ankara in the last 6 months or so, it seems Iranian applicants go "In Process" roughly 1-2 months after file transfer. Hasn't been the case for the rest of us. But there aren't many non-Iranian applicants here, so I don't know. Best of luck!

wow...i thought for sure with all the pprs in the summer the processing time would be around 9 months...i cant believe it....

This sucks, so 18 month in total, this is brutal waiting time, why so long? don't they think about all those people hurting and waiting for their loved ones?!!! Got damn this immigration system >:( >:( >:( >:(

Well, this is "how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases" ... in other words 20% of the processed cases waited more than 16 months. Once again, I encourage everybody who have been in process more than 2-3 months to please contact the embassy and, very politely and professionally, indicate your frustration and dissatisfaction with their way of handling the spousal sponsorship applications. Hope without action doesn't change anything! This is one of the very few services that CIC provides to Canadian citizens and permanent residents and they should be accountable to the tax payers. This is an undignified way of treating people.
