yeah you are right man, 6 months is like a joke right now, the average is up to almost 10 11, but the thing is i was contacted by the embassy today regarding the email i sent them and as i suspected the average on their website is wrong, i was told that they are working on processing files in 10 max 11 months , 13 is just a inaccurate number, so that is a bit of good news, i mean its still alot comparing to the previous 9 to 10 months but hey its still a little less
sohrab i hope the info they gave u is true becuz if that is the case then next month my husband could possibly be here?! nagz as well !! iv already started in to my 10th month ..

oh because i didnt send it with a regular email address, it was .gc.ca address so i guess thats why they replied quickly, although the last time i emailed them personally it didnt take long its just that they didnt explain anything it was one of those auto messages everyone one gets but this time they mentioned the date of the file and things like that.

Your application will be processed in Damascus not Beirut
And if you can't wait more than 6 months then I suggest that you don't apply because this process will kill you.
If you can get a visitor visa for your partner and apply through an inland sponsorship then it will be better for you.
By the way I've been waiting for 11 months since my application arrived at Damascus and 1 year since I sent my application to Mississauga.
If you want to sponsor your partner then you should have patience.
Good luck and I hope the processing time will decrease in the future.
Regards

Inland sponsorship takes almost twice as long! My husband and I originally applied inland, we waited 15 mths and the application wasn't even done yet. He was deported and we had to reapply Outland. His visa had expired and our lawyer had told us that as long as we had an application in then he would not be deported..... he was obviously WRONG!!! Regardless the inland process is not any quicker.... in fact slower. After waiting all that time we had to start all over again from Outland :( So I would suggest not going the inland route. It's hard to be without your spouse (especially hard on our kids) but Outland is quicker.... unless the processing time keeps going up:(

Good luck to all, i am still following you guys, and hope to hear about some PPR soon,

thanks bash for your support ! btw guys I was thinking smg . since now they are saying te processing time is 13 months I don't think it's right for them to ask for a medical twice! they should email people to send their medicals when they are at the last step of processing or let's say 3-4 months after they've started so they can be sure that it won't expire !

that is so true, the medical is just sitting there for 6 7 8 months when the file is in queue and when its finally to process it its expired, great regulations really,
