I follow this thread as well as the monthly thread pretty regularly.

It seems to me Ottawa has come to a screeching halt. It looks to be stuck on Mid-June approvals and I haven't really heard of anyone getting approved lately, other than a few on this thread who had applications in earlier in the year.

Someone in June did just get approved the other day, so there is some movement. I did noticed it seemed to quite down for a while, but I'm hoping that the approval means they're getting back into the swing of things. Or Decsion Made rather..

My application was mid june and we sent requested docs in october and haven't heard anything yet and its been a month past our bring forward date. Has anyone else tried emailing them and heard back? I did two weeks ago as well as requesting our gmcs notes, but no reply yet.

Our application was received June 10, additional documents requested and sent in August. We are now a good month past our bring forward date and have heard nothing. I did send CIC a followup email confirming that we had sent them the requested documents, with the date we knew they received them. Closed with a friendly, "do let us know if you need anything else" -- Silence. I'm resisting requesting notes and hoping, perhaps naively, to see some movement soon.

I sent mine in November (CSQ) and I requested notes this time. I'm going to email them too because last time I sent documents to them I heard nothing for 4 months so I'm leaving nothing to chance. No more sitting back. Ugh, got to stop venting I know. But this really bugging me.

We were sent through Ottawa on June 26 2014. Our status on ecas shifted to in process on Dec 1st. We are so excited and hoping for Decision Made soon!

I see you've been in Canada since 2012. .. . what on earth did you do the whole time while waiting??

Thanks. Well I have to say that I have not been too bored during the wait. I have been busy meeting new friends and family members and perusing my hobbies and interests (gardening, fishing, etc). We done a fair bit of traveling around Atlantic Canada and been back to the U.S a few times. On top of that, we have moved twice during this time, which always seems to keep you busier than usual. My husband works mostly at home, which helps too. And I'm an avid reader and love to go shopping.

So many DM's happening in the past week! So exciting!

We got DM last Monday, my partner's been watching the mail since then. Nothing yet - I think this is the most painful part! Ha!

Congratulation! Must have been a great start to the week. Do they not send you an email with the decision? My sponsorship decision was sent by email.

Sponsorship decision is usually sent by e-mail, but the final decision is mailed to the applicant by snail mail! Worst.
