If you look at my timeline you will see that I have one of the longest wait time ever for an Outland US applicant. I actually received passport request in October of 2013, which normally would mean that processing would finish within a few months. But that didn't happen, instead my file got sent to LA for some odd reason (we believe it was administive error because they never could explain why). I might be paranoid at this point but 4 months for SA on an outland in Ottawa is ridiculous. I sent the requested forms (CSQ, son's birth certificate as he was born in the middle of the process but Ottawa was notified at the beginning of the process) a month ago and they made it sound like they'd decide on things if they didn't receive them by 11/9. They said 'we will make a decision on the information we have by that date and we may or may not reject your application but you can appeal the decision'. So not sure if I should get frustrated. I don't feel I'm getting due process but I also don't want to be a 'troublemaker' so they say no. Not sure how to proceed at all. Probably going to ask for GCMS notes but not sure who's UCI to use or what to request as I have SA so my hubby's sponsorship has been approved but I want to check on my stuff. Do I use my name and UCI? But then my hubby would need to say he's applying on my behalf but a Canadian citizen needs to be applying. It's so confusing and I feel really dumb.
