Salam,

For those of you who have been told by Lawyers (liars) not to order GCMS notes, or check status on Ecas too often...it will have adverse effect on your case...it's all nonsense.

I have ordered GCMS 3 times already, MP has gotten me an update like 4 times, and I myself have emailed couple of times to Islamabad...and I check Ecas status every couple of weeks. This will not harm your case at all. It actually might trigger them to work on your case, if they have forgotten about it.

I wouldn't recommend annoying someone too much, but you have to right to know the status, and thus request these things. Lawyers have no magic wand; they probably do as much as we can do ourselves. I did my application and paid a lawyer few dollars to proof read it. That was the end of the lawyer from my case.

I was looking for the "like" button.... For anyone new, do this! For spousal cases, do it yourself and have a professional proof read the application for you.

Yes re-med in Aug 2013. Nothing after that..

AOA Mudassar,

Good suggestions, i have almost same time line as u have , i am totally agree with you that Lawyers (liars) can not do any thing to get the cases processed from CIC they just give false hope & when they get irritated so they start giving extra timeline that it will take 31 months

Please confirm have you got re medical request?

Salam you can send your papers to Peshawar Pakistan as long as there is an address also post paid everything so the sender has nothing to pay this way CIC Islamabad will send it to the address in Peshawar then you can pick it up In Sha Allah

Still no update but even if we get re-med we have to wait until the strike is over to get the visa :( when will they call off the strike?

Officers have been returning to work. However, since 4 months of lay off it is causing delays once again.

Is it possible to get re-med followed by a ppr now?

Lol, as expected my lawyer told me not to order GCMS notes as it can cause "delays" because it can make the VO doubtful about my case like why am I so curious to get an update. Sooo retarded, I'll wait till October/November anyways to order my notes.

I think you should just order. I just ordered my second set an hour ago.

All the best!

Thanks! I just fail to understand how on earth will it negatively impact my case =S..

Just ignore it. Lawyers/MPs incompetence has been discussed so many times on the forum and the conclusion is they are useless.

Thesheikh ordered the notes a few times and his wife just got the visa. So this whole negative impact notion is utter bs.

I assume the below is a list of TCS Couriers sent by Canadian Embassy....though how do you get this information?

Actually i received my PPR on July 30, 2013 and just on September 9th my status went to Decision Made on the CIC Site - so now i'm anxiously waiting....any idea how long it should take now???

So true!

In the request section, it asks for Requesting information for : and then all the fields, I enter my husband's information right? I am talking about the "Act & Record Selection" screen, and in terms of uploads I have to attach the consent form and my proof of citizenship, is that right?

Seems like they have changed the pattern a bit. Applicants are only getting remed + other forms to fill out (some applicants).

I dunno if it was caused by ordering of notes or just coincidence. However, the first time i ordered them my file was transferred for initial review by VO and the second time i ordered them I got remed. Im going to do it a third time to get my ppr In sha Allah. LOL
