Thanks for the prompt reply. I hope I get some positive response from them soon. Its terrible that they have no consistency in their processes....everyone has a different scenario even while sharing a similar timeline.

I agree with you!! It is really frustrating >:(

My husband and I have not received any originals back though we received AOR in Feb 2012. Is this normal or does everyone receive the original documents and we are the exception? My husband called the call center to ask if any further mail was forwarded to his address that was misplaced by chance and the agent said no mail was sent.
I am feb2012 applicant too and i havent received any documents back yet....so i dont think they go by any order ....

Hey good luck! My friend filed after Nikah in August 2011. Was asked for additional forms and rukhsati details in June 2012. They scheduled rukhsati in Jan 2013 and sent rukhsati and honeymoon pictures after that. She got visa in June 2013. The entire process took 22 months for her.

I am also a Nikkah only case but after reading a lot from the forums I have managed to convince my parents and in-laws that Rukksati is vital for avoiding any unnecessary delays. Looking at the 31 month processing time its wise to complete the whole marriage with all the ceremonies and honeymoon trip/pics will be a bonus.

Going to send them ruksati pics and additional documents in Jan 2014 inshaAllah!

Just curious ... my wife's mailing address changed to mines. Is it because my 'Use A Representative' form has been processed? What else can be a reason? Thanks!

Are you that Representative? If yes, than it makes sense but if not, than it should be what is written in forms.

If she has a representative, all communications go to that representative and that representative is responsible to keep applicant informed.

If none of this is applicable than make sure you are using applicant's (not sponsor's) info to check the status.

Yes, I'm her representative. Am I to assume all correspondence by mail and email will now come to me? (including re-medicals, additional documents, passport requests etc.?)

Yes all communication about the case will be done with you. And it will be your responsibility to communicate to applicant.

Do we have any official guide on how to order GCMS notes?

I would please like everyone to please pray for me and my husband!! We had a love marriage. Were apart for 4 + years. i went to Pakistan to get our Nikah (no rukhsuti) in Feb 2013. I am reading a lot of forums right now, but its scaring me so much!! I can't imagine staying away from my husband longer. Going from Canada to Pakistan is soooo expensive too. :( :(. I just want some reassurance that it will all be approved. I sometimes lose my sleep over this too.

In my application, i am going to submit. Pictures of Nikah, 5 years worth of phone bills. text messages. emails. A few pictures from before and after our nikah. As well as in between gift receipt.

I know dua's can do a lot. and the more people who can say a dua for me and my husband, that will be very helpful. If we end up having a rukhsuti its just going to be so difficult for us to stay apart. Distance is damn hard. These people aren't making it any easier. :( :( :( :( :(

I think it is much better for you guys perform the final marriage ceremonies (Ruksati and Valima) so they process your file without any doubts or interviews. It may be difficult to stay apart after ruksati but as you guys have been married for 4+ years, not much difference may be felt. May Allah make it easy for all of us.
