In my case they send all. Even my husband's application for citizenship is in process they send his original documents as well

In my case they just returned me the supporting documents which was sent after filing the case to update the file. Not any document is being returned whichever submitted with the application package.
It's so confusing what are they doing???

I would like to share this beautiful news with all of you that today on Eid day my wife Alhumdulillah has received her re-med and passport request. After a long wait and dedication, Allah has finally listened to our prayers. I would sincerely like to thank all of you who are very supportive and optimistic. As always my prayers since the start of this process to me and all of you that may Allah makes it easier for all of us and unites us with our loved ones quickly inshAllah. Don't loose hope. And don't be stingy in your prayers, pray not for only yourself but for everyone.

My wife received a call from TCS office that she has a parcel from CHC-ISL and they couldn't deliver it to home due to Eid, they had no rider. So my wife went herself to pick up from their office. In my case everything was regular mail no e-mails.

yes mrs sam, cic is getting to know us well. the problem is they are getting to know us too well..and it doesn't look good for us... :-[

CIC know our culture very well, and CIC also know that doing nikkah in masjid is very common in pakistan now days so it wont be issue, and CIC also know that in pakistan mostly masjid's dont have female area so only males would be there so its fine

Hello & Eid Mubarak to All!

As you can see in my timeline, I applied in Jan. 2013, got Step-1 approval from Mississauga in February saying: it will be transferred to CHC-ISB.

However, just 2 days back I got a package and letter from CIC from the office of: Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa (CPP-O).

Letter was dated July 31, 2013 and said they have enclosed original documents that were submitted with my application...copies have been kept...etc.

The package included my wife's original education docs, her original birth certificate, our original Nikkha form, my original expired Canadian Passport which I submitted to show Entry/Exit stamps from Pakistan. (Not our original Marriage Certificate)

I have seen some other people have also received some of their original docs back.

Is this normal, to receive docs back? And the time it took me to receive my docs back is 6 months, is that to long?

Another family friend of ours is sponsoring her husband from Pakistan, she received some of his original docs WITH her Step-1 Approval letter back in January 2013.

How do I find out if my file is in CPP-O or CHC-ISB ???

Since my approval letter said it will be transferred to Islamabad, but now I'm getting my documents from Ottawa.

I emailed Islamabad to request to change my wife's mailing address, they sent me a email back (1.5 months later) saying they do not accept emails to change mailing addresses, but my wife will need to instead fax them the information. Didn't mention if the file is actually in ISB or not.

So I am damn confused as to where my file is now.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks. ECAS is dead, no progress in it. It just says "application received" as it has been since start. Is this normal?

Nothing yet I submitted my passport almost 20 days ago but no news yet please pray for me and everyone else
