Nahi yaar who ever is being sponsored, it is necessary to send medical, police and 9 photos. I am sorry but don't know about little kids but I guess they only require medical and photos or maybe just photos. dont know much about that.

But on there guide for medical they say something else that it will be requested after submitting the application :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

Medical Examination Instructions
Instructions on how to take the medical examination will normally be sent to you after you submit your application to the visa office.

Validity
You can only use your examination results in your application for 12 months from when you had the examination. If you are not admitted to Canada as a permanent resident within this time, you will be required to undergo another examination.

I know that you have to do the Medical, but they say it clearly that it will be requested after submitting the application. Now I am a little confused :S

but 26 month for Pakistan & 6 for India thats not fair
i think Pak community is not strong in Canada thats the main prb behind 26 month duration

she said its for other classes not spousal sponsorship. You HAVE to do medical and only follow the spousal sponsorship guide or else it can be very confusing. If you dont send in your medical proof, it will delay your application or they might send it back saying its incomplete. :)

I know it is on checklist, and on part 1 forms for sponsoring for Quebec resident they ask for Selection certificate but you can not apply for Selection till you have not received the approval from Federal about your application. So having it on the check list doesn't mean you have to give it. Maybe this is the reason why everyone here is doing many time medicals, while it is only required when they request it. Which make sense as if your sponsor is refused why doing medical before knowing that.

I dont know man, you asked us for a question and we all told you what we did. Next it is up to you to take the risk. Maybe someone else will be able to tell you the consequences of not doing the medical in the first place. Even 2010 people, they got remedical request and then PPR. medical is REQUIRED when you send in your application. Maybe ask a consultant. The thing you are looking at is for other classes.

True that but its maybe because Pakistan is also taking Afghanistan's application. even after 9/11 the timeline was still 8-9 months I believe. and for New Delhi its now 10 months I guess.
