Dear All , Can any one explain the AOR please in spouse application .
Does we recieve the AOR From Islamabad OR Canada.

Thanks

AOR is basically/mainly used for ISL or overseas visa office...

you dont really get to know much about ur file in mississauga until its cleared the STAGE 1 already, so no way of tracking it etc before to really have an AOR... you get the email/letter and bam, its done and over from their side basically...

once the chc-isl or any other overseas visa office tells you that they got the file, thats the true AOR, thats when your stage two begins... you know ur file is there with them... and you count ur time from there onwards... thats where the 26 months limit starts from...

hope this helps...

Guys, I emailed CIC-I on Aug 18th regarding a change in my wifes contact information and then again on September 10th regarding an additional proofs package i sent in.
So far i have received no acknowledgement of my emails or Fax's.
is this normal?

normal... they can take up to 2 months to reply or may not reply at all if your file is well within the time limit of 26 months, which for you it is... but for you sending in additional info, they should be sending an acknowledgement, me thinks...

when they say "your application is in process" do they mean that they are doing the same work Islamabad would have been doing after the files had been transferred to them? can anyone shed some light or do I have to reach out to the call center again?? ::)

they are supposed to do the same work as isl, up until the ppr... once ur file is reviewed up to the ppr point, they are then supposed to send it to isl, so isl can send the ppr request...

but till now its been smoke and mirrors...

AOA Everyone;

I received the confirmation letter from CPC Mississauga that they have received my application. UCI # and Application number are also mentioned. but when in track it, it only gives me the details of my husband's citizenship.... i can not track my application, no info is provided in this regards. can anyone please guide me how to track? or the info will be online after my application is transferred to Islamabad.

Wishing everyone all the best

please kindly wait a weeks time, they have not created an ecas file of your sponsorship case... once they do, you will be able to access it... the person in canada is sponsor, use the UCI and his/her info etc to log on, and the person in pakistan is the applicant, use the file/application number and his/her info to log on... either login will show the same thing...

Three months left until the new year- and then we will be veterans. >:(

usually its supposed to be a good thing, but here we are... actually to some degree, i dont mind this staying away from spouse affair... it allows ppl to get the opportunity to clear missunderstandings/assumptions and stay lovey dovey because of the distance... if we were to be together, those little things usually become headaches, now atleast you get to know them a bit extra from the safe distance, and once together you are better informed about each other without any fights... :D

but then there are folks who somehow still get pulled into the arguments/fights/etc...

ps: i have answered all the questions folks had on the last page... some answers are on 101 as well... i hope the info helps... if you still have questions, ask away...

also, as far as ottawa is concerned... its all up in the air, its our (especially mine) observations of ppl posting info here, and then putting 2 and 2 together... the whole thing can be just our imagination or it could be as per our observations...

also, we all know or should know that the whole process is going to take 15-16 (wife) 16-18 (husband) months avg for a normal case, and shouldnt get overly excited, for ppl before us have had ppr's without anything else known to them aswell... we are just creating the hype and some tension/stress for ourselves, be patient... its good to know the info, but dont get tooooo into it... (i am a little guilty of it too)...

and best of luck to all of us... inshallah the good news will come eventually :)

seriously i also have the same question , anyone has an answer??????

when a CIC call center agent tells you "your file is in process" or you get and email regarding similar issue, dont get your hopes high too much.

I really don't know where they get this info from. (Different CIC agent tells you a different story).

I heard my file was in process about 2 months ago. (ALLAH knows best)

Don't put your trust in any immigration rep. (They just don't know)

yeah but it is not an agent who told me that, i had email ottawa pilot and they replied me that my application is in process.

I have sent a email to Ottawa office 2 days ago..lets see what they have to say for themselves 8)

ooo I miss being the nayi nawali dulhan :( i miss wearing all that fancy jewelry lol isnt that the best part about getting married!!?
life is just unfair with us.

I ordered the notes for my file today, I'll keep everyone posted once I receive them.

Then, you can email CPP-O and ask them to be more specific. If your not really satisfied with their response.

I mean, were not to sure how ottawa processes files. (Its a new project).

Were all in the same boat. (Most people get same response).

Hello Guys,
I am here but have been following our islamabad threads for months now. I am in the process of preparing my application package for my husband.
I have a few questions, they might sound stupid but honestly I had no other choice.

first of all the region specific forms is in adobe and I cant really convert it in to word so is it okay if i fill it by hand? I need more space for his education and personal history so should I just get a lined sheet write my name question number and just copy make the columns and just fill it? (I filled my other documents online not by hand)

How did you guys filled the column where they ask us to write in our native language? just by hand after printing it off?

I am also confused about what documents do I have to send on my behalf in the region specific forms it says:

Original birth certificates for yourself ...... including your spouse so I am supposed to send mine?

Certified copies of CNIC its just for my husband, right?

the sponsor DOESNT send his/her educational documents, right? but I have to send my passport showing my passport # and all.

what does it mean by certified copies of the photos and information of your valid and old passport? My husband needs to get

his passport certified? if yes, from where?

Its not necessary to get the documents certified or notarized from foreign affair though, right?

Is it necessary to write behind the 9 photos that "this is to certify that..."?

since the police certificate is original uske sath toh kuch nahi karna na?

Help is really appreciated, My questions are a little bit from everywhere. Its just that these little details have been annoying me so I thought this is the best place to ask!
Thanks ..
