Yes confirmed by a few lawyers. Know of 5 cases where the TRV was granted to a sponsored spouse as well.

No, applying for a TRV and getting a cancellation does not in any way effect your sponsorship application. It is perfectly legal to apply for TRV while you are in the sponsorship process.

The lawyer who has handled a lot of TRV cases and whom I consult is Faiz Islam from FN Solutions. You can confirm with him. PM me if you need contact details.

yar i was gonna ask, have you confirmed this through a lawyer if that is a doable thing, to go for a visit visa for spouse, also especially once we have filed for their permanent residence... I have heard from a few that if their visit visa gets a cancellation, it may have an effect on the decision for sponsorship process...

My friend, your MP will do it for you. Just ensure that when they do contact you, you ask for a letter directly directly towards High commissioner of Canada: Ross Hynes.
He will ask you for some sort of proof of your marriage, as my MP's office did. Just send them a picture from each of your wedding ceremonies.
Takes them a few days to draft the letter, and then you can pick it up.

I agree, we should always be thank-full to Allah SWT. However, I also believe that we should strive when faced with difficult circumstances. If it is good for us, it will happen, however if its not good for us, it wont. Allah-hu-Alim. Whats important is that you tried.

@theshaikh
did you contact MP or MPP. do they reply back if we email them or it has to be followed by number of phone calls. i think our MP is Bob Dechert.

Thanks!

Wasalaam
I got a letter from my MP, Bob Dechert.
His office is on Burnhamthorpe and CreditView.
I sent them an email and got a reply back within hours. So try sending an email and explain your situation in the email.
The only time you will have to actually go to the office is when they ask you to pick up the prepared letter.

Thankyou so much bro! you have been a great help. Also please tell me did you send them a gerneric email explaining the situation and asked for the some letter that could support getting a visit visa or is there anything in particular that has to be mentioned in the email. i remember you said in some previous comments that we should ask the letter sent from High commission something like that.

Thanks!

No problem, let me know if you need to know anything else. and if anyone else has any questions.
Would be more than happy to help out if I can guys =)

Following is the email I sent.
You can use it as a template:

Hey Bob,

My name is ______, I live on the _________ street in Mississauga in the Erindale Ward. I am actually applying for my wifes visitor visa and I know that getting a letter of recommendation from my MP will greatly help me getting one for her.
I was wondering if I could get one from you, ofcourse I could meet with you in person and show you all the details of my marriage.

Thanks,

ok, before i was only able to use the UCI number to see what was happening...

but since yest, i have been able to log in using the file # and my wife's info, and it shows her address in there... however, it only reads like the sponsor's ecas for her "we have received your file on Mar 7, 2012"...

me being able to sign in through the file # is that an indication that the file is now in chc-isl in the waiting line... or nothing to it....

I have the same question about CHC Islamabad receiving the file. Any answers guys?

Don't think it means that its in ISB, the reason is that I was able to see it from weeks ago, before I received a letter saying that my file is being transferred to ISB.

Is there any indicator which tells us that the file has physically reached ISB?

Ye chand kaise maamu hai?
Jab mumy ka wo bhai nahi.

Kyu lambe baal hai bhaalu ke?
Kyu usne triming karai nahi.
Kya wo bi ganda bachha hai?
Ya jungle me koi naai nahi.

Nana ki biwi jab nani hai,
Dada ki biwi jab dadi hai.
Papa ki biwi kyon papi nahi?

Samundar ka rang kyu neela hai?
Jab neel kisi ne milai nahi.
Jab school me itni neend aati hai.
Toh kyu bed waha rakhwai nahi?

Ur ecase will say

We recieved ur pr application on june 30 2012

That will show up when u are using ur file #

So I emailed my MP because I wanted to see if my wife's could be expediated since my mother is quite ill and she needs a female's help... I explained the whole story to the Mayor of Milton and MP, I got a response from the Mayor the next day saying (well I am going to parapharase here) "we dont mess with the federal stuff, so take your questions else where" lol. I also got an email from my MP stating the following:

Thank you so much for taking the time to pass on this request for assistance with your wife's spousal class application.

Our office would be happy to follow up with CIC on the application and provide you with an update on her file, however we cannot expedite files. We will follow up with you shortly once we receive information on her file.

Once again, thanks for taking the time to send this to us. Should you have any further questions, comments or suggestions in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us.

So lets see if they ever get back to me on this, I am interested to see what she finds out.

Just wanted to share my little "adventure"

brother may Allah bless ur mother with good health

dont do anything like that, CHC will not do anything if ur parents are sick

they will expedite ur case if the spouse was in trouble other wise its a waste of time
