My wife is currently compiling all our communication till now, including 100ish honeymoon pictures, receipts of gifts given after marriage, call logs, boarding passes, flights to honeymoon destination and Pakistan, receipts of money sent etc etc. (We took our honeymoon a few months after applying so I couldnt attach any proof then)

We will continue to accumulate all the 'proofs of marriage' until the 6-7 month mark, at which point I plan to send all of them in.
I will have 100-200 pages of text messages, 20-30 pages of call logs and 100+ pages of honeymoon pics, 100+ pictures gifts given.

The way I look at it is, when the Visa Officer looks at your application for the first time, he should not have any questions, or doubts. I plan to give him so much proof that he will not have any doubt that my marriage is legit.

About the confusion part, just make sure nothing you send contradicts something you sent earlier. This way there will be no confusion.
Also, make sure to have copies of all proofs and not to send your originals voluntarily , in case they lose that batch and ask for additional documents again, reattach the ones you voluntarily sent, with additional docs you have accumulated thereafter.

However, i want to know whether sending the voluntary documents is crucial because some people told me that by sending documents without CIC request, sometimes it can make things confused and complicated. I would appreciate your answer. Another thing is, when CIC send back the passport with Visa stamped, do they also send back all the original documents and everything with it? Thanks

I sent proof of contact (call history, text messaging history, emails, chats, skype logs, money transfer receipts, gift receipts ordered online etc etc) along with a new PCC from the current district and everything was mentioned in the cover letter that I sent. Make sure you have your file number on the cover letter and the rest of the stuff just in case. Always keep a copy of what you send to CHC-Islamabad. It certainly helped me in my case as the VO didn't ask for any other forms to be filled or more proof of contact etc etc.

Hi... I asked same question many times but no one have proper ans of it i think bcoz CIC asked all academic and birth certificate, nikah-nama, Marriage certificate etc original for Pakistan but i hope they will not lose them and they will send back all originals with passport finally...

police clearance certificate is supposed to be off the district/area where you are currently residing... for example if your spouse is living in Karachi, but went to lahore for 2-3 months only, then still get it done from Karachi... but if your spouse was living in karachi, and now is living and looking to further stay in lahore, then have it from lahore...

Yeh, i will do the same thing. Now, i will start gathering stuff. Is "Application Number" and "File Number" same thing? When i try to punch in my Application Number online it doesn't give me any details. But, when i put my UCI number it shows the status. Any clue?

I want to ask that I am working in a German Multinational Firm from last 4 years.I visited Afghanistan 5 times due to my official tasks.I also visited Germany,Dubai,Singapore & Malaysia officialy on bussiness visa for short times not more than 30 days.My question is; due to terrorist image of Afghanistan will my background checks will take long time????As I have sent them all supporting documents including invitation letter frm Afghan Government,security clearnace details,my work schedule in Kabul,hotel details,boarding details,stamped visas etc.

I am little bit worry about that may be VO think something suspecious of my visits to Kabul.......

Hey Sdfr,

the UCI # which is in the format ####-#### is attached to the sponsor.
The file # with the format F######### is attached to the applicant.
So when you login using the File#, select
<b>Immigration File#</b> under Identification type and then enter your wifes last name/DOB/Country of birth.

i have recently applied sponsorship for my wife. file received at Immigration office on April 03 (canadapost Xpresspost). I assume i will get some reply by early next month. just wondering if anyone knows anything about or have seen cases where the sponsored spouse gets the visit visa. doet it have any negative impact on the actual immigration case if the visit visa gets rejected..please share the experiences if someone has been through. appreciated

I myself am in the process of awaiting the verdict of our TRV application. We are 42 days in, usually takes 70-90 days to get a response.

After extensive research, I included the following in my application:

Completed forms
A notarized letter of invitation
A notarized copy of my passport
A letter from my employer stating my salary and position.
A bank statement which shows >$10k in my bank account
Travellers insurance I bought for the time my wife will be visiting me
A letter which shows how much my household income is
A letter from my MP which supports my case, a letter which he forwarded to High commissioner of Canada to Pakistan Ross Hynes on our behalf.
~100 Pictures from our wedding maiyoon mehndi shadi ruksati walima functions
~70 pictures from our honeymoon
E-tickets and boarding passes from our honeymoon
Copy of the invitation card from our wedding
All receipts from our wedding
All receipts from honeymoon
Copy of our marriage certificate and notarized translation
A letter from her parents giving her permission and giving me temporary custody of her (wife is <18)
Bank statement from her fathers account showing >10k canadian dollars
School letter stating that she needs to be back in school in september and that her fees are paid for next year
Copy of her birth certificate
Her police clearences
Copy of her medical which we did for the spousal sponsorship
My tax assessment and T4
An affadavit signed by me and an oath taken infront of a lawyer that I will take her complete financial responsibility during her visit and will send her back and that she needs to start school...
A copy of the CanadaPost slip which states that I have sent the spouse sponsorship application
A copy of the tracking information which states that the application was received in mississauga on Feb 27th
2 Passport sized photos of my wife
A letter of intent stating that she needs to visit me because my vacation days are exhausted at work. And spending time apart is very hard and strenuous on our marriage.

People on that thread got their passport's back with a VISA, but a lot of people have been getting rejections recently as well. So its really a hit/miss.
