CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

That is a million dollar question.

Unfortunately, CHC is probably the only unique government institution, that doesn't follow the "first come first serve" protocol. It is held at random and it is processed at random (the files). That doesn't mean that the person who got his/her file processed before you has a better file or yours is complicated or bad. It's just that he/she was somewhat luckier than you were. Yes, their are cases that are causes for delay but not in majority of the cases. So don't worry, nothing wrong with your file, but everything is wrong with the institution.

I believe when you receive your visa to travel to Canada. You should travel before your medical expires....

It's because they can't really give everyone a TRV. The reason why being that no one really is coming in the mindset to visit. They are coming to live with their spouses and try to shorten the process timeline. Even, if they provide proofs of families ties or returning back for school/work. They extend their visa, because at the end of the day they will be moving to Canada. They don't want to return. I don't blame the applicants, 32 months is too long and you really can't blame Canada tourism because its really not a visit. They fill a quota, the rest is history....

I sent all my documents today to canada to my husband address.

I am really nervous because I basically sent all the original documents application which they asked for which included my original educational documents also my orginal cerificates and intership letters which they didnt ask for. But i sent them anyway to support my answer for my "personal history"

just wanted to know
1) if i should be sending my original certificates and internship letters ? If not then should i be providing them with any supporting documents at all as proof of personal history. Or may be photocopies? Coz it clearly said that pakistani nationals have to send originals.

2) And any idea what to write on the application to ask for my originals to be returned after verifications.

3) has anyone got their originals back yet? How much time does it take. ..

Finally some great news today after such a long n agonizing wait!
My wife received a request for remedical today (~ 5 pm PST) by email.

My timeline is as follows:

Married in Islamabad: January 2012
Application submitted: March 2012
Application transferred: June 2012
Received back Original documents: July 2013
Remedical Request: November 2013
Police Certificate Request: Forthcoming
PPR: Forthcoming, inshallah!
Visa Issued: Forthcoming, inshallah!!
Landed: Forthcoming (That will be the best day of my life!), Inshallah!!!

This news has honestly lifted a humongous weight off my shoulders. Although I realize its not completely over yet n there is still some time left until we get the PPR.

I would like to encourage all my fellow 2012-ers to continue to remain strong and don't lose hope. Inshallah we will all be together with our wives/husbands soon. My fellow 2011-ers all my sympathies and best wishes for a speedy completion to all your cases, inshallah! My heart goes out to all the remaining 2011-ers out there that are still waiting for responses. Please continue to remain strong and I hope all 2011-ers get their PPR's by the end of this year, Inshallah!

1) Yes, you do have to send originals of everything. Make sure u keep copies for your records or tell your husband to make copies. If you're sending originals through a reliable courier company it shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you track where your file's reached. In my case, I brought all my wife's originals with me when I came back to Canada after our wedding.

2) You don't need any application to receive your documents back. They automatically send them back once they've looked through them.

3) You can see my earlier post for my complete timeline but I did receive all my wife's originals back earlier this year which included all her school certificates n degrees, our nikah namah n her original birth certificate. There's no set time for when they send it back. Others on this forum have been receiving them at completely random times. Some have even received them after getting their PPR's. It's also not clear who they send it back to. In my case I received them from Ottawa Pilot Processing Centre (I'm guessing my application was with them) but in other cases its the spouse in Pak that received them by TCS (from CHC-ISB).
