well same thing happened with me, i filed in feb 2012 and received letter in may 2012 but after inquiring from my mp and from call centre agent i got to know that my file was transferred to ottawa in oct. and the reason they gave was that islamabad was full they couldnt accept more files so missisauga was holding the files and took time to transfer them to ottawa and counting of processing time starts when ottawa receives file

According to sun news website in islamabad in April 2012; 5000 family cases were pending.

I know quiet a few ppl in person who went through the same thing...
If I were you I'd hire a lawyer and pull them to court. Since you guys got a letter stating that your file was transferred to ISB or OTTAWA, they can't tell you to count from October 2012. It is not your fault. Apparently they lied to you!!!

what are the chances of job market there in canada for ACCA ( i know about the mutal recognation thing and memmber stuff )

but planing to go for CIA

About CHC..i feel like taking their techno-equipments away from them since they r making no use of fast computers n devices..their processing times suggests they r working while high on something...

Its a complicated issue this Ottawa/Islamabad scenario. No one really knows what will happen, however, it will become more clear when they start to process these cases. So far, no case gone to Ottawa after November 2011 has been processed....

my case is in Ottawa...and its been 15 months for me already... didn't hear anything from the embassy....

email is fine...but they take around 2 months to reply....

ACCA does have value here, you can also check with CGA and CMA to see how many credits you get or how many courses you may have to do in order to earn CMA or CGA designation. CIA is a good option too.
