I am still waiting for any news. According to my Lawyer and MP when i checked with them in November 2012, they said that they are doing a backroung check. So i guess i am in 2nd stage process.

they havnt changed the status so that means parcel has reached its destination?

now I want to know what happen next? im hoping within march my file should reach Pak,
and should I start counting my process days from today?

After your file reaches to Pak. then you should start Counting.....Good Luck!

My documents are almost complete, just left police Character certificate from police, the first one they made , these stupid police walas put on the certificate that she is living on my address since Birth :S while obviously she moved after marriage and it is clearly stated on the ID card that she is born in other city. Have to waste another week re making this certificate i don't want to send with a mistake like this, it can raise Red flag. What do you say, I am doing right thing to request for correction or I can send it ?

Now I need you guys/gals help for proves to attach. Because I don't have many because I lived with my wife for 2.5 years in Pakistan after marriage. No proof of before marriage because arranged marriage (hope is it Ok ?). Here is the list of documents we will attach:

- Pictures about 250: Mehndi (separate), Nikah, Rukhsati, Walima, after mariage pictures on different occasion (birthdays, outing, restaurants, marriage of relatives, friends), pictures on birth of our daughter, and a lot of pictures with our daughter since her birth (she is 2 years old now)

- Phone details of Google Voice (iphone) since I came back to Canada (10 months ago) : that is the only phone thing I got as we were living together before. No emails because only email we exchanged were when she sent me pictures, skype we rarely did it because of time difference.

- Our Wedding cards (both side)

- Jewelery bill that I bought for weddings for her, dated before the wedding obviously (should I attach original ? as I don't want to lose it)

- Most of the gift I gave her like cell phone, ipad, laptop, etc I don't have any bill as bought from internet from people not shop (kijiji etc), got only 2 bills , 1 jewellery and 1 an electronic equipment that is all I can attach as bill).

- Some greeting cards I sent to my wife and some to my daughter on her birthdays, (It is so sad to not be their on your child birthday thanks CHC :S) should I attach photocopy or original, I prefer photocopies as it is sentimental thing, but if it is necessary I ll send the originals.


Is these proofs enough ? what else can I attach ?

first off no re-medical yet and yes the info i got is from my MP and Lawyer. plus i sent in my updated documents in October 2012 voluntarily. my case still says Application Recieved. inshallah i feel i am close to hearing some very good news soon. I hope inshallah that with the will of allah we all will hear good news soon in reguards to our wives and husbands. INSHALLAH

Assalam-o-alaikum Everyone,

I desperately need information regarding my new born child file update. I applied for my wife in November 2012, I have not heard anything from CHC till 31st December and then I left Canada for parental leave. On 1st January 2013 we got our first baby born. Now question is....how can I update my child's information in my wife's file, get his medical done and pay his fees. I am in Pakistan till 25th February 2013.

Let me provide more information to give you guys better idea. I emailed to CHC on 9th January 2013 about our baby's birth along with his Name, DOB and place of birth, I also mention applicant's name, DOB, sponsor's name and DOB along with payment receipt number. I am on PR in Canada.

I will appreciate your responses along with some experiences or hyperlinks to information.

I Sent all the updates to Islamabad and they confirmed that they have recieved as per my lawyer.

Yes, they will send you a letter of approval. At the moment they are working on nov 9 2012 files.

you don't need to address anyone. You are already emailing the "inquiry" unit.

You should make sure, that your write your full name along with spouse full name. File/Uci number, Date of birth of both applicant and sponser.

Then you can go about your question.
