Need your advice and comments. it has been almost 6 months since my husband sent his passport to embassy, I have contacted mp several times. Last time they told me Medical results have been received and the file is in quenue for review by decision making officer. My question is how much do we have to wait before we get passport.

uff this is horrible! 6 months, it's almost hard to believe these guys can just keep someone's travel document for that long. Mine has been gone for 4 months now and they have not responded at all.

Have you tried emailing the case review people. case-review-im-enquiry @cic.gc.ca

not that it makes any difference cuz they haven't bothered to reply to me after 1.5 months either. Has anyone ever even got a reply from these people?

its probably because they're doing the background/security checks now. Some people who got PPR with Re-Med are going through this...otherwise they do the checks THEN ask for PPR once the decision is made.

, it depends on case to case basis.
Let me share my experience , my wife live with me after filing the case for 5.5 months , and till now they dont question about it. and hope in sha allah they will not.
For retaining PR status , u have to live total 730 days in canada in total in five year span period.
But one must not live more than 6 months outside canada.

Hmmm was she on PR n after applying your case did she come to visit u for 5.5 months?

Which MP did u contact, caz i called in Calgary MP and her assistant didnt help me and told me to wait for 26 months before sending inquiry

Mine area MP is also not helpful i remember when i try to contact her 2 times in person both time her assistant met me and both time she said ok now wait for more one month before we send inquairy. It was for first stage approval. I didn't get any responce from CHH M before 3 months n the people applied later than me was getting mails i was in tenssion if they had lost my file? Because all my personal confidiential information and my husbands original documents were in the package. But MP still didn't helped me to find the location of my file

I suggest you order GCMS notes, that will identify if they have your file or not. It MAY help identify the location of your docs as well. I'm assuming you've already been approved as a sponsor?

i have sent my passport through TCS and still waiting for visa
it is almost a month and i have not received
still waiting for my passport with visa.
i am 2011 february AOR

i recived a call from islamabad for my medical courier service tracking number which was used by the medical center to india by DHL. they have sent it back to islamabad but no response than i have emailed to cic islamabad and tcs them again ,, no PASSPORT coming and nothing change in online ,, lets see they send me before my passport expire in june2013

yes she Permanent resident and she visited me after filing the application.

You have to send an email to CHC and let them know that you want to be there for the birth of ur child and wen ur wife is due..... in that case they might hurry up and give it to u... but i can see that in the week of decemeber 16-22 lots of people will be getting visas back because around Christmas lots of people get visa... which u luck but do have ur MP or urself send an email letting them know that time is running and u wonna be there for the birth...

I have said this before, make the argument with the MP directly by sending them a letter or email
That “that you the MP are betraying public trust by not doing anything"
Also I suggest to send it from your work email, send copy's cc CP24, nbc news, few news papers
I guarantee you he sure will reply within hours with a response.

Our MP in (Vaughan, ON) rocks; they are all very helpful here.

Write a letter to them or email them send a note of ur wife's doctor that she is due on date tell them u r really willjng to go and be there at thattime they ll definitely issue visa within a week inshallah all u do to do it asap

Yes i got approval as a sponsor in the month of October. Now recently i called call centre the agent told me my file is in Ottawa. Though the approval letter states that my file has been forwarded to Islamabad. Now i will contact the call centre again in month of January before sending the notorized photo copy of my baby's birth certificate n with that i'll am planing to send voluntarily all call history, emails, skype history, dhl reciepts of gift which my husband send me later n our baby's clothes with pictures after the time i have filed the sponsorship

Don't u think its too early to order GCMS notes?
