we don't know but from today they are off for Eid Holidays and now they will Start work from Tuesday October 30,2012.

I heard from someone who has been a victim of Canadian sponsorship that CIC-Islamabad has started to take 24 months in total from the time the file was tranfered to Pakistan.

They have started to get the huge backlog like they had back in 2007. This news was also passed on to me by an ex CIC-I employee

Best of luck to those who already have got PPR. For those like me who havent, ALLAH khair karay :)

I dont understand are the people in CHC Afghans/Pakistanis or Canadians?
cuz if they are Canadian y the heck do they need time off for Eid? and if they are Muslims y the heck do they need time off for Christmas?

this is weird n stupid.... if they dont celebrate either of the holidays then y are they taking time off from work, they should be working on our cases jus like how we cant celebrate any of the Holidays with our spouse y the heck they get time for their family?

They live in Pakistan.. Just like you and I, we get time off on Christmas even though we don't celebrate. :)

I have a question ... are we counting by the months that application was filed or when it was transferred ?

After how long it's shows decision made? After receiving medical results ?

It all depends on your immigration officer and the review date. Usually they have a review date 45-60 days after your request letter date. So lets say if your Re-medical and PPR request letter was dated SEPT 25, 2012, then they will review the file anytime from Nov 10 - 25th. Once they review the file, they will stamp the Visa and send your passport back to you in a week along with Confirmation of Permanent residence letter and your education docs/ proofs etc. You will have to pay cash to TCS delivery guy for delivery. The charge might be around 250 ruppees... not sure as it varies from city to city.
When they review the file do they ask any additional document? Cuz I lived in Saudia 4 years n they asked me to submit pcc from Saudia n I can't get it I tried alot . I wrote a letter to chc dat I can't get it tell me any way I can get pcc but they didn't ask me any thing again jus requested me to do remedical and ppr dats all . If they review my file even they asked me for pp . Could they ask me for Pcc again from Saudia cuz it's more dan 2 years I'm in Pak now or they will send my pp back? Plz help me out guys I'm too much worried

i've a question...

Cool down Mrs Khan! Now you have the visa in your hands, so just forget about these cruel bozos for a while, and enjoy the Eid day :)

Happy last lonely Eid (inshallah) to all of you. Forget about the lonliness for today, and have fun with whatever little you have at hand :)

They don't ask for anything after the PPR. Just wait another few weeks to receive your PP with vasa stamped.
