Holy smokes! This is some crazy drama.... This is exactly why everyone else who is going through this process should keep your personal info quiet. Just chit chat on the forum but don't talk to people about the case. You really never know who your friends/ enimies are....

that is why you should only talk on the forum not off the forum the the ppl that acutally know you and even on the forum just stay as an id not a real person,

just so your personal info is safe with you

even if they did that i wouldn't mind getting my wife that visa

but for crying out loud do something to speed up this process

they are already doing that in Australia and UK i think

Then how long will it take until spouse gets this "temporary" visa. For example after 24months spouse gets "temporary visa" then after another 24months they will allow for an application to be filled for pr? That's 4 years....

100% agreed

My wife completed her re-medical in Islamabad on September 10 and sent her passport on September 14 using TCS. How can I find out if both the remed and the ppr have been recieved. I asked my wife for the TCS tracking number but she is not really that educated (english wise) and doesnt know what I am talking about. Where is it listed and how many numbers/letters does it contain? Same thing with re-med do they give a tracking number for it or no? During the remed they did not perform xray on her because she was pregnant. Will the visa still be issued without it and how long do you think before my wife recieves her passport stamped. I am on a short deadline as our baby is due Feb 14, 2013 (according to Pakistani doctor) and she needs to be here for atleast 90 days to be covered by OHIP which means November 14, 2013...less 2 weeks more in case of early delivery then she pretty much has till November 1st, 2013. What are the chances of it happening?

i got a call from CHC, i missed three calls and my heart sinked when i saw i did it... but out of the record and the way they are known they called me back.. and asked me did i do my medical, i told them yes i got it done on july 16.. he said okay.. he said from where and i told him from IOM.. and as expected they havent received my re medicals... i told them i have the receipt, should i send them its copy, they said no need.. they will sort it out themselves, i asked them should i be worried about it that u havent received it yet, they said no theyll inquire themselves.. so today is 12 sep.. i got the remedical on 13 july dated july 12.. so they opened my file after 2 months... khair i asked him if my background check is over, he said no it would go now to the officer for the background and security check.. i asked him are they convinced with my relationship status they said yes of course that part is done ages back.. i asked them when can i expect my ppr.. he said i cant give u a date, but we will get ur remedical and then you will get it... so just imagine they opened by file after two months to either send me the ppr or to send my file for the background check.. but thanks to IOM or new dehli people they didnt do anything of my re medical.. i hope everything sorts out, but at least im happy that they think that my relationship is genuine, the background check is like i have got a lot of travelling history but at least its all clear, i have not committed any crime :P.. so at least im relieved that Shukar alhamdoulillah i wont be put in the interview que.. but according to their speed i guess i should lose all hope to receive my ppr this year.. may be early next year.. its better that it takes times and just i get over with it for good.. dont want to haste it and destroy things for good.. seriously now the condition is this that i dont mind doing a new medical because of their own mistake too...
im glad the person who called me was decent enough to answer all my questions.. he had the patience to do so :d..

My husband got the same call on August 15 but he did not ask any questions about bg checks :( my husband was working in Riyadh at the time and they called him on his saudi cell. Now it has been one month. The only thing that changed is that he emailed them proofs of the remed (he did remed in march, so I believe cic lost it) and they updated ecas a few days later to "in process August 15" and "med results have been received". Who knows when we will get ppr now? :(
