I hope they will not delay my case bcz CHC themself make this way...bcz this form is also available in website that u can choose ur representative to see your file.....but still it makes me worry.. i did it bcz i wanted to find out what is happening and want to know how long should i wait more....

Don't worry, if your lawyer sent in the request, its still okay. As long as he didn't ask for physical file notes, only then it would delay. If he asked for electronic file notes, you are okay.

Someone called border watch line and told them that you havn't divorced your first spouse and are facing charges relating to domestic issues. Obvioulsy, this is someone who doesnt' want your spouse to be here for many reasons. Firstly, is this your second marriage? IF yes, then do you have all your divorce paperwork filed correctly. Did you wait the amount of time CIC wants you to wait inorder to marry another person in a foregin country and sponsor them. If all your paperwork is fine and you followed CIC guidlines, then you shouldn't worry at all. If this is your first marriage, then its a hoax call.

The call was made on April 26th. Whoever is doing this knows that your spouse's immigration is in process and doesn't want your spouse to be here.

Well you shouldn't worry about it too much . If you don't have any charges or records against you in Canada, you are safe. InshaAllah you won't have any problems.

These days things are taking very seriously in CIC, so keep everyone happy until you application is complete

hi eveyone,
i know someone personally, and today i come to know that her process completes within 12 months.
application filed in nov 2011 and and she gets her paasport back with visa in august.(without remedical becoz her 1st medical still valid).

Someone told me that no matter when you applied for your Immigrant visa, your case will take a year after updates regarding your Rukhsati are received at CHC(In case of Nikaah only cases). Is that really so? We had Rukhsati early this year, and sent CHC the updates later.

I know of 3 Nikah only cases that are processing/processed. One, which was approved within a year without any need for rukhsati proofs (this could be hearsay as I know very little about this one). Two, which received re-medical request even without rukhsati. Three, where the husband went back to have his rukhsati done in Jan 2011 and the case was approved within about 6 months of the rukhsati.

There are another 2 Nikah cases which I know of but they have been unusually delayed, mostly likely due to doubts or objections. One of them received an objection letter.

I think if they really doubt your case then it can take a year, otherwise it should take less in my opinion....but you never know.....

Not too sure about my case... Will be ordering GCMS notes by tomorrow, Insha Allah!

Holy smokes! This is some crazy drama.... This is exactly why everyone else who is going through this process should keep your personal info quiet. Just chit chat on the forum but don't talk to people about the case. You really never know who your friends/ enimies are....

i did email in last week of august its mid september still no reply .... i emailed them again aur ya kia ja sakta hai ....iintizaaaar....dunya ka sab se mushkil kaam
