how the hell does that work, they go in reverse order? June and July come before August. Man, Pakistan has everything in reverse. They go from having good water to dirty water, electricity to partial electricity, gas to no gas on few days...whats next? cars to horses?

It looks like a typo. People who sent their passorts in june got their passports back in aug and begining of sep and the list is all clear. Congrats to all those. Now it is turn for those who have sent theirs in july.

Assalam-o-Alaikum,
Just wanted to share an update. My husband did re-medical on july 17 ,2012 nd sent pp on July 18, 2012, but no update on online status. I contacted my MP last week on friday and he told me that he will contact CHC-I.Today, I received a response which is really stressing. for me it's hard to believe tht CHC- I didn't even receive medical results >:(
Below is the reply from MP

"We have received the following response from Islamabad:

Thank you for your e-mail below. This application is currently in process and is in queue to be reviewed by an immigration officer. Currently, we await medical examination results for the medical letter that was sent out on 07 July 2012.
A copy of this message has already been mailed to you.

If your husband has not yet received the medical examination request letter, please provide me with his mailing address, so we can request that the letter be resent."

As someone who was born in Pakistan but spent almost all life in Canada, I'm not the biggest fan of Pakistan and don't agree with 99.99% of its policies (the few that exist), true the people are mostly great but seem easily tricked by a very corrupt political system but the main point to clarify here is that our visas are being processed by a Citizenship and Immigration CANADA office in Pakistan at the Canadaian High Commision-an office where no Pakistani official can even set foot. So if we do need to blame, it's our own government!

I think some blame is for us too-me included, we all suffer in silence. I know of no other government program which requires a support club (this forum)...were we ask questions and cry together. I tried to do something and had some support but nothing happened, maybe one day...

hi everybody . if the medical +PPR coming together and they gived 30 days for medical and 15 days for send pasport . if we rcevied the letter after 10 days the date when they sended thats stand 5 days for send pasport and 20 days for medical exm . now we can not send the pasport whtin medical exm if few days let we send the pasport that wil be prablome ?

Before my case went into process in June, I can only login with UCI, then in June with Fxxxxxxxx number. I also used to try with my receipt number which never worked but now does...anyone know of any significance of this? Or am I just hoping it means something:(?

i agree and i understand everyone here is stressed
that is why we are here
but with all due respect this is not a nice thing to say about the country that gave us life and made us what most of us are
i can only speak for myself when i say pakistan gave me what i have and made me what i am today
i would not want to sell myself to anyone just to get a visa few months earlier

Besides if someone is willing to sell something as sacred as their own MOTHERLAND then i personally think that person does not need to go anywhere they can have a great life anywhere in the world

i am sorry if my comments hurt anyone ....... that's just my thinking...... and what do i know..... i was not even born in pakistan i just lived there for a better part of my youth......... but still i cant help loving that country

i am willing to sell my motherland if it means more families are well fed, there is electricity 24/7 and clean water etc. I am not just referring to my wife getting visa earlier, its just the overall situation in Pakistan. It is only getting worse and the rupees is only falling further in the hole.

this isn't a place for politics so ill shut up...but im just saying, this country is falling apart and thats why I mention this. I love pakistan too, im passionate about it, but not to the extent that im willing to see more and more people suffer. I've stayed there for a month and I could not even sleep at night because of the outages and the heat and the mosquito's etc.

and I haven't even mentioned the part about my wife being on the train in july when there was a bomb that blew the tracks, and that she had to take the coach bus and stopped in quetta area where there was gun firing. Is this what you call a country? more like a bunch of tribal stone-age people living in a huge village.

anyway's...who knows, InshAllah in a few more months my wife will get visa.

i feel sorry for you
i didnt know you had it so bad
i am happy that you dont live in pakistan
and may be its good for pakistan that its not upto everyone to sell it

by the way if someone starts selling everything and everyone they love just because of little issues

after a little disagreement........ who know what might come on the selling block next ....... lets just wait and watch

and lets not forget this is immigration forum lets just stick to the point

Goodluck with your wife's application

no hard feelings

Your guess is about right. Expect anywhere from 12 to 18 months for a wife's case to be fully processed. Yesterday, I stepped into the 20th-month of the process :) I'm expecting the journey to end before the end of this month... so all in all, it would take 20 months in total for my application.

Thanks and good luck!

i hope i am right
i think you should be getting re-med + ppr request from CHC-I within next week or so

did you try talking to local MP

Well it is anyone's guess when your wife will receive re-medical request. My wife's medical expired in December 2011, and she received re-medical request in July 2012 :) And don't bother with MP's especially if they are from the conservative party. They will ask you to wait till the average processing time of 26 months has elapsed before they can express any hint of care. Best they can do is get you the same generic response as what you will get if you send an e-mail to CHC. I would recommend that you order GCMS notes at your earliest convenience... you will probably receive them in 30 - 45 days.

A lot of randomness in their process! ;)

When they sent my wife AOR back in March they asked for Police clearance certificates but no re-medical? Why would they want to recheck criminal history without being interested in medical history? Baffling.... :)
